Blanton's Single Barrel Dumped 2018 / LMDW

First introduced by then Ancient Age distillery Master Distiller, Elmer T. Lee, Blanton's was the first single barrel bourbon popularised in the US. Ancient Age was renamed the Buffalo Trace distillery by the Sazerac company in 1999.

Normally a 6 to 8 year old bourbon, it is aged in Warehouse H at Buffalo Trace, which is the only metal-clad warehouse at the distillery, commissioned for construction by Albert B. Blanton, after whom the whiskey is named. The warehouse was built shortly after prohibition and being metal, transfers heat quicker than brick warehouses, allowing for more rapid ageing.

This is a 2018 bottling, dumped on the 23rd July and matured in barrel #885, which was specially selected for La Maison du Whisky in Paris.

Stored on rick number 45 and bottled at 110 US proof.

Each bottle of Blanton's has one of 8 different stoppers, each depicting a horse and jockey at a different stage of finishing a race. The designs are all lettered so that a complete set laid out side by side will spell \"BLANTONS.\" This stopper is letter S.

Bowmore 1999 Hand Filled 19 Year Old Cask #2116 / Sherry

A 19 year old Bowmore aged in a single sherry cask #2116.

Distilled on the 21st June 1999 and bottled by hand at the distillery on the 29th July 2018.

We have it on good authority that this has come from a first fill Oloroso sherry cask.

Banff 1978 Signatory Vintage 18 Year Old with Miniature 5cl / Silent Stills

A rare Signatory Vintage bottling of Banff, part of their Silent Stills series which focusses on Scotland's closed distilleries.

Distilled on the 21st of December 1978 and bottled on the 28th of October 1997.

Cask Number #4618, this is bottle number 168 of 260.

Presentation set comes complete with a 5cl miniature and a cask bung.

Glendullan 1974 Rare Malt 23 Year Old / 63.1%

The Rare Malts Selection is a historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

This Glendullan was distilled in 1974 and bottled as a 23 year old in May 1998 at 63.1%.

From Banff distillery, distilled in November 1980 and bottled July 2004, matured in single cask #2909 for 23 years before bottling by the Huntly based independent bottler Duncan Taylor.

Balvenie Tun 1509 Batch #1

The latest 'tun' release from Balvenie, following in the footsteps of Balvenie Tun 1401 and 1858.

This larger Tun can hold up to four times as much liquid as Tun 1401 and hence we expect a larger quantity of this release.  

This release is a combination of 42 casks: 35 traditional American oak barrels and 7 European oak sherry butts. These were married in Tun 1509 for several months before bottling.

Distilled in 1977 and bottled at 17 years old 1994 by the Glenhaven Scotch Whisky Co.

Bowmore Devils Cask 10 Year Old Batch #2 

This, Devil's Cask II, is the second release in the incredibly popular Devil's Cask Small Batch Releases.  

This release was matured exclusively in first fill Sherry casks.

\"Where The Devil is He?\" - The story goes the devil was spotted in the circular church at Bowmore, the villagers chased the devil into Bowmore Distillery where, as legend goes, the devil escaped in a cask.

This release was matured exclusively in first fill sherry casks and bottled at cask strength, It was very limited, with only 540 bottles available in the UK and no more than 6,000 worldwide.

Glenmorangie Sonnalta PX 1 Litre

Glenmorangie Sonnalta PX is the first of the distillery's Private Collection bottlings.

Sonnalta PX has been finished in casks formerly containing Pedro Ximenez.

Bowmore Devil's Cask 10 Year Old Batch #1 75cl / US Import

Released in October 2013, this release from Bowmore barely even reached retailer shelves. The Devil is rumoured to have escaped Bowmore in one of the distilleries casks, after being chased from the famous church in Bowmore; which has no corners so he was unable to hide there. 

This release was matured exclusively in first fill sherry casks and bottled at cask strength, It was very limited, with only 540 bottles available in the UK and no more than 6,000 worldwide.
