Blanton's Single Barrel Dumped 2018 / LMDW

First introduced by then Ancient Age distillery Master Distiller, Elmer T. Lee, Blanton's was the first single barrel bourbon popularised in the US. Ancient Age was renamed the Buffalo Trace distillery by the Sazerac company in 1999.

Normally a 6 to 8 year old bourbon, it is aged in Warehouse H at Buffalo Trace, which is the only metal-clad warehouse at the distillery, commissioned for construction by Albert B. Blanton, after whom the whiskey is named. The warehouse was built shortly after prohibition and being metal, transfers heat quicker than brick warehouses, allowing for more rapid ageing.

This is a 2018 bottling, dumped on the 23rd July and matured in barrel #885, which was specially selected for La Maison du Whisky in Paris.

Stored on rick number 45 and bottled at 110 US proof.

Each bottle of Blanton's has one of 8 different stoppers, each depicting a horse and jockey at a different stage of finishing a race. The designs are all lettered so that a complete set laid out side by side will spell \"BLANTONS.\" This stopper is letter N.

Please note the condition of the wax seal on this bottle. The fragile wax that surrounds the stopper was sadly damage din transit to us. The wax was still present on arrival, as are the remnants around the stopper. As such, we have no reason to doubt the authenticity of these bottles. We do however, recommend collecting this item from our offices in Perth, Scotland.

Glen Garioch 1993 Douglas Laing / XOP

An independent bottling from Glen Garioch, part of Douglas Laing's Xtra Old Particular single cask series (XOP). This is a special Platinum 70th Anniversary commemorative edition. 

Distilled in July 1993 and matured in sherry hogshead #12824.

Bottled in August 2018, this is bottle number 158 of 303. 

Bowmore 2000 Hand Filled 17 Year Old Cask #2495 / 1st Fill Sherry Puncheon​

Available to bottle yourself at Bowmore distillery, this 'hand filled' was distilled on 6th November 2000 and bottled on 20th December 2017 at just over 17 years old.

Bowmore 10 Year Old Devils Cask Small Batch Release #1

Released in October 2013, this release from Bowmore barely even reached retailer shelves. The Devil is rumoured to have escaped Bowmore in one of the distilleries casks, after being chased from the famous church in Bowmore; which has no corners so he was unable to hide there. 

This release was matured exclusively in first fill sherry casks and bottled at cask strength, It was very limited, with only 540 bottles available in the UK and no more than 6,000 worldwide.

Glenugie 1977 Signatory Vintage 31 Year Old Cask Strength / Oloroso Finish

A rare bottling of Glenugie, distilled on 20th December 1977 and bottled on 14th September 2009. 

Finished in an Oloroso sherry butt for 84 months (7 years), this is bottle number 301 of 577.

A very rare bottling of Glen Grant at 15 years old.

Bottled in in the 1970s by Gordon & MacPhail for their Distillery Labels series.

Bruichladdich 1991 Yellow Submarine 25 Year Old / WMD III

This is a limited edition bottling of Bruichladdich, the third in a series released to commemorate the finding of a small yellow submarine on Islay which apparently belonged to the Ministry of Defence.

As with the second release, this is a 1991 vintage, this time aged an impressive 25 years.

The 2017 edition of George T Stagg, part of the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection.

The Antique Collection celebrates historic US whiskey brands, figures and places. George T. Stagg was a 19th century distiller, and the Buffalo Trace distillery was named after him for most of the 20th century, becoming Ancient Age in 1983 and adopting its current title in 1999.

Released at their usual impressive strength 64.6%

The 2017 bottling is a 15 year old.

A single cask bottling from this long closed highland distillery.

Distilled in November 1983 and bottled in December 2009 from single cask #1288.

Buffalo Trace 1988 Experimental Collection 14 Year Old 37.5cl / 6 Year Zinfandel Finish

Buffalo Trace have released a number of experiments, this was to find out how the use of a 6 year finishing period in an ex-Zinfandel barrel would affect the final flavour of the whiskey.

Distilled in May 1992 when Buffalo Trace distillery was still known as Ancient Age. It was acquired by the Sazerac company that year, but they did not change the name until 1999.

Glenrothes 1978

These old vintage Glenrothes are fantastic and becoming increasingly difficult to find. 

Distilled in 1978 and bottled in 2008.

A lovely older bottling of 8 Year old Glen Grant single malt.

Imported to Italy at the time by Armando Giovinetti, who spearheaded the Italian switch in tastes to single malts with this very distillery. The Glen Grant 5 year ol dis still the biggest selling dram in Italy today.

A single cask Glen Grant from Duncan Taylor, part of their impressively-aged Rare Auld series.

Distilled in February 1970 and bottled in 2009 at 39 years old

A 19 year old Bowmore aged in a single sherry cask #2116.

Distilled on the 21st June 1999 and bottled by hand at the distillery on the 16th July 2018.

We have it on good authority that this has come from a first fill Oloroso sherry cask.
