Gardel 1982 Cadenhead's 20 Year Old Guadeloupe Rum

A rhum agrocile from the continuous still at Gardel distillery on Guadeloupe.

Agricole rum is distilled using only freshly squeezed sugar cane juice, as opposed to mollases.

Distilledin 1962 and bottled at 20 years old by Cadenhead's in Scotland in 2003.

Girvan 1965 Celtic Heartlands 42 Year Old

Celtic Heartlands is a range of bottlings selected by Bruichladdich's master distiller Jim McEwan and bottled by Murray McDavid.

This particular bottling is a single grain whisky from the Girvan distillery. Girvan has also been home to the single malt distilleries Ladyburn and Ailsa Bay, and the gin Hendricks.

Girvan 1964 Gleann Mor 52 Year Old

The single cask used for this bottling was filled on the 10th of January 1964 and bottled after 52 years on the 16th May 2016.

One of 182 bottles. 

Glenury Royal 1970 Cask Strength 36 Year Old

There are very few official bottling of this rare highland malt, which closed its doors for the last time in 1985.

This 1970 vintage Glenury was bottled in 2006 within Diageo's annual super premium series.  

One of only 1926 bottles, this is bottle number 840.

Glengoyne 1986 Ewan's Choice 19 Year Old

A very popular Glengoyne, distilled on the 13th of April 1986 and then bottled in May 2005.

Cask #441 was a sherry puncheon chosen by Glengoyne stillman Ewan Hendry. 

This is bottle number 222 of 600.

Glenury Royal 1970 Cask Strength 36 Year Old

There are very few official bottling of this rare highland malt, which closed its doors for the last time in 1985.

This 1970 vintage Glenury was bottled in 2006 within Diageo's annual super premium series.  

One of only 1926 bottles, this is bottle number 839.

Glenglassaugh 1978 Rare Cask 36 Year Old

Distilled on 6th October 1978 and bottled in August 2015 after maturing in a single Pedro Ximenez Sherry Puncheon for over 36 years.

Bottle number 150 of only 314.

Hillside / Glenesk 1971 Rare Malt 25 Year Old / 62%​

The Rare Malt Selection is a historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

Released within the Rare Malt Selection. Distilled in 1971 and bottled as a 25 year old at 62%. This is from the Glenesk distillery which was also known as Hillside, located in the north east Highlands the distillery closed in 1985 and then officially dismantled in 1997.

Glenallachie 1978 Single Cask #10296 50cl / 50th Anniversary

We're really excited to see a greater availability from this less well known Speyside distillery. 

With Billy Walker - formerly Glendronach and Benriach - recently acquiring the distillery from Chivas Brothers, there has been a flurry of releases including a number of exciting single casks.

This bottle is one of the 50th Anniversary single cask releases, the fist batch of bottlings produced since Billy's takeover.

Distilled in 1978 and aged in single cask #10296 before bottling in February 2018 and is one of only 120 bottles.

Glenmorangie 1977 21 Year Old / Bottled 2000

A rare vintage Glenmorangie, distilled in 1977 and bottled in 2000.

This is from the dates this should be a 23 year old, although the box clearly states its a 21 year old. The official explination as is follows  vatted from casks (distillation between April and June 1977) in 1998. Between this time and the bottling in 2003, there were several bottlings. A proportion of the whisky in the other bottlings had been stored in vat and a proportion returned to oak casks between 1998 and 2003. As vats are not made of oak, the time in vat cannot be added onto the maturation age of the whisky i.e. a proportion of the whisky can still only be called 21 years. Hence the whisky must still be called 21 years old, despite some of the whisky in its composition maturing for longer in oak casks (up to 23 years old).

George T Stagg 2018 Release

The 2018 edition of George T Stagg, part of the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection.

The Antique Collection celebrates historic US whiskey brands, figures and places. George T. Stagg was a 19th century distiller, and the Buffalo Trace distillery was named after him for most of the 20th century, becoming Ancient Age in 1983 and adopting its current title in 1999.

Released at their usual impressive strength 62.45% / 124.9

The 2018 bottling has been produced from 284 barrels containing Bourbon distilled in Spring 2003.

Glenrothes 1972 Restricted Release

A small batch official release from Glenrothes.

A particularly sought after vintage from Glenrothes, distilled in 1972 and bottled in 1999. 

There are very few earlier vintages from Glenrothes and this bottling was lucky enough to be distilled at a time Glenrothes was making exceptional whisky.

Glen Mhor 1964 Dun Eideann

A fantastic single cask release from the Dun Eideann whiksy company in France, bottled for them in Scotland by Signatory Vintage.

Glen Mhor is a closed distillery from Inverness, and this was distilled there in 1969. Bottled from cask #278/9 in 1994.

Glenmorangie 12 Year Old Rare Single Cask / in Honour of H.S.H Prince Albert II of Monaco

An exclsuive single cask bottling for the Monte Carlo Whisky Society, in honour of His Serene Highness Prince Albert II.

This is an ex-bourbon cask, selected by the Prince himself, with assistance from Bill Lumsden, Charles MacLean and society president Dario di Sotto.

Bottle number 36 of only 180 bottles.

Glenfiddich Snow Phoenix

A limited edition release selected from three warehouses which collapsed on the 7th January 2010, due to adverse weather conditions (a rather heavy snow storm).

Bottled without an age statement, Glenfiddich Snow Phoenix has been highly acclaimed and includes Oloroso and American oak casks from warehouses ranging from 13 to 30 years old.

Glenlossie 1970 Sestante 16 Year Old

A very rare Glenlossie, distilled in 1970s and one of the first bottled by Sestante for the Italian market after maturing for 16 years.

Most single malt from Glenlossie distilled in the 1970s would end up Haig's blends.

The Sestante import company was founded in the 1970s by Ernesto Mainardi, and he bottled his first single casks under the name in 1985. Alongside his contemporary, Silvano Samaroli, Mainardi pioneered giving his customers a choice of both standard 40-46% bottlings, and cask strength releases from the same casks. Along with his other brand, Silver Seal, Mainardi's bottlings are incredibly sought after.

Glenrothes 1970 Whisky Agency 41 Year Old

An independent bottling from the Berry Brothers and Rudd-owned Glenrothes distillery in Speyside.

Distilled in 1970 and matured in a single ex-bourbon hogshead until being bottled in 2011 for The Whisky Agency in Germany.
