Kilchoman 100% Islay 2nd Edition​

The 2nd release of Kilchoman's popular 100% Islay releases, bottled in 2012.

All parts of the production process for the 100% Islay took place at the distillery – from barley to bottle. The barley is grown, malted, distilled, matured and bottled at Kilchoman. Bottled at 50% ABV and peated to a lower level to that of other releases. This second release was matured in a combination of fresh and refill bourbon barrels.

Springbank 18 Year Old

The popular 18 year Springbank, natural colour and no chill filtration. 

This is a 2018 bottling.

Speyside Single Malt 1995 Whisky Agency 18 Year Old / Vive La Vie

This is a Vive La Vie special selection bottling of single malt from The Whisky Agency in Germany.

Distilled at an undisclosed Speyside distillery in 1995 and bottled from a single sherry butt in 2015.

King's Ransom 'Round The World' Scotch Whisky 1960s

King's Ransom, was at one time the most expensive whisky in the world and was rumoured present when Stalin, Churchill and Truman signed the Potsdam Conference after the Second World War.

This is a Glenforres Glenlivet blend, produced by William Whiteley & Co. Around the World takes its name from the unusual maturation process which saw it placed in to sherry casks and sailed around the globe.

Italian import.

Speyside Single Malt 12 Year Old Decanter / P&O Cruises Artemis

A 12 year old Speyside single malt, bottled for P&O Ferries. 

One of only 300 decanters. 

Springbank 12 Year Old 175th Anniversary

A limited edition of only 12,000 bottles released in 2003 to celebrate the opening of the distillery in 1828.

Speyside Single Malt 1991 Liquid Sun 22 Year Old

A mystery Speyside single malt, bottled for Germany's Liquid Sun.

Matured for 22 years in a refill hogshead and bottled in 2013.

Kininvie 1990 23 Year Old Batch #002 35cl

This elusive malt from William Grant's Dufftown complex was distilled in 1990 and matured in \"a mix of Hogshead and Sherry butts\" for 23 years.

An interesting decanter of blended Scotch, produced by Douglas Laing for the Portuguese market.

Kentucky Deluxe 8 Year Old Straight Bourbon 1990s

This is a mid-1980s bottling of Kentucky Deluxe, a brand produced at Heaven Hill.

Bottled in 1986, this would have been distilled and bottled at Heaven Hill's old distillery in Bardstown, prior to it being destroyed by fire in 1996. 

Kentucky Deluxe is a charcoal filtered whiskey, a practice known as the Lincoln County Process and often better associated with Tennessee Whiskies such as Jack Daniel's. This often leads to a common misconception, likely deliberately promoted by some distillers, that whiskey produced in this fashion cannot be called bourbon. 

Stock VSOP Medicinal Brandy 1 Litre 1940s

In the latter part of the 19th and early 20th centuries, brandy was considered medicinal. Primarily it was used as a cardiac stimulant as it appeared to increase cardiac output and blood pressure. However it was also recognised as a depressant and was used as a sedative. Reconciling these two actions caused difficulties... which is why it is no longer considered medicinal. 

This bears the Sigillo Testa tax medal used between 1947 and 1949.

Speyside 1995 Whisky Broker 21 Year Old

A 21 year old single cask bottling from the Speyside distillery in Drumguish. This was distilled in 1995 and bottled by Whisky Broker in 2017.

Bottle 6 of 100 was drawn at cask strength from sherry butt #32.

Strathearn 2014 Private Cask Club #75 / 10th Anniversary Dutch Whisky Society

The first of a new generation of small distilleries, Strathearn 'Probably Scotland's Smallest Distillery' produces single cask, single malt whisky using traditional methods.

This whisky was distilled in July 2014 and matured in ex-sherry cask #75. It was bottled in 2018 by the Private Cask Club to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Dutch Whisky Society.

This is a non-peated expression, bottled at cask strength.

Knockdhu / AnCnoc 2008 SMWS 9 Year Old 115.6​

An independent bottling from Knockdhu distillery (the whisky itself is now known as AnCnoc) from The Scotch Malt Whisky Society. 

Distilled 7th April 2008 and aged in a first fill Pedro Ximenez sherry hogshead.

Seagram's Crown Royal 1968 Canadian Whisky

North America's best selling Canadian Whisky, difficult to get hold of on this side of the pond.

The tax stamp dates the youngest vintage in the blend to 1968. 

Distilled by Joseph E. Seagram at their former distillery in Waterloo, Ontario. Production was moved to a new Crown Royal distillery in Gimli, Manitoba in 1968, where this was bottled, and nowadays it is still produced there by Diageo, who bought the brand and distillery after Seagram's were dissolved in 2000. The Waterloo distillery closed in 1984.

There is no ABV stated on this bottle.

Sandy Macnab's 1970s / Lochside

A legendary blend produced primarily for the southern European markets by Lochside distillery in the 1970's to the early 1990's. 

A distillery famous for producing both malt and grain on the same site which makes this blend even more interesting!

SILLA Fernet 1 Litre 1950s

A bottle of Fernet liqueur produced by Societa Industira Lucchese Liquori Affini.

The bottle bears the Sigillo Stella, an Italian tax medal used in the 1950s.

Springbank 1992 Murray McDavid 12 Year Old

An independedtly bottled Springbank from Murry McDavid

This was distilled in  1992, matured in a combination of bourbon, Mourvedre and Syrah casks for a total of 12 years. 

Bottled in 2005 at Bruichladdich distillery, this is one of 950 bottles. 

Sancti Spiritus 18 Year Old Kill Devil

A single cask bottling of column still distillate from Sancti Spiritus in Cuba.

Bottled at 18 years old by Edition Spirits Ltd (Hunter Laing), under their rum label, Kill Devil.

A 2017 release from Springbank.

Distilled November 2002 and bottled at 14 years of age after maturing in a fresh and refill bourbon barrels.

Speyside Single Malt 2008 Whisky Agency 'Ballindaloch'  / The Drunken Master

Labelled at distilled at Ballindaloch, this was produced before the idea for the distillery of that name was even conceived of. Instead, this is likely Cragganmore, or more likely, a Glenfarclas.

Distilled in 2008 and bottled for German independent bottlers The Whisky Agency in partnership with ART Taiwan and The Drunken Master bar.

A single cask Kilchoman released exclusively for the Taiwanese market.

Finished in Pedro Ximenez cask 697/2011, this was distilled in 2011 and bottled on 14th April 2017 at cask strength.
