Very Olde St Nick Lot 12 Ancient Cask Bourbon

Very Old St Nick is a boutique bourbon brand owned by Allied Lomar in California, who's other products include Rare Perfection, Wattie Boone and the Vintage Bourbon and Rye bottles. They have been sourcing bourbon and bottling it for several decades, and they are instantly recognisable from their uniform use of the same cursive script-style typeface. Allied Lomar president, Marci Palatella, was Julian Van Winkle III's agent in the Japanese market for many years, and their early bottlings of Old St Nick were contracted to him at his Old Commonwealth distillery.

The Van Winkle partnership with in the early 2000s ended this agreement however, with the production of bottles such as this moved to Willett distillery, where they were bottled by its owners, Evan Kulsveen's Kentucky Bourbon Distillers. The stills at Willett were silent at this point and KBD were sourcing most of their whiskey from Heaven Hill.

Although the source of the KBD bottling has never been confirmed, Van Winkle has strongly asserted that these Very Olde St Nick are bottled using Heaven Hill bourbon.

Allied Lomar opened their own Preservation distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky in 2018.

Karuizawa produced outstanding whiskies, many of which have received international acclaim. They have released almost 300 single casks which are becoming increasingly rarer and rarer as demand soars.

This limited bottling was distilled just before the closure of the distillery in 2000.

Kyoto Ki Noh Bi Ex-Karuizawa Cask Dry Gin / 3rd Edition

This gin is extra special as it was matured in ex-Karuizawa sherry casks, marking the first-ever collaboration between Japanese whisky and Japanese gin. The Kyoto Distillery’s “Ki Noh Bi” Dry Gin is also the first Japanese gin to collaborate with the Noh Theatre, like the legendary Karuizawa distillery did before it. Noh is one of Japan’s traditional performing arts.

Knockdhu 23 Year Old Cask Strength

Back when Diageo owned Knockdhu they released this limited edition 23 year old at cask strength.  Since Inverhouse took over the reigns, this distillery's output has been know as AnCnoc.

Kilchoman 2007 Single Cask Kilchoman Club 1st Edition 

Distilled on 15th August 2007 and bottled on 12th October 2012, from a single sherry cask #451/2007.

Kininvie 1990 23 Year Old Batch #001 35cl

The first official release from Kininvie. The elusive malt from William Grant's Dufftown complex.

Distilled in 1990 and matured for 23 years until bottling in 2013, Batch 001 with an estimated 7,000 bottles were released in Taiwan.

This Taiwanese distillery has been making a big splash. A cask in this range won the World Whiskies Awards best single malt 2015. Very impressive!

Karekura 2011 Four Daughters 6 Year Old / Velier 70th Anniversary

This is an agricole rum from the Karekura distillery in Guadeloupe. Agricole rum is distilled using only freshly squeezed sugar cane juice, as opposed to mollases.

Part of the Four Daughters series, this is titled, 'For Emily, whenever I may find her.'

Bottled in 2017 from an ex-sherry cask for the 70th anniversary of acclaimed Italian bottlers and importers, Velier.

Knockando 1970 Extra Old Reserve

A rare expression of Knockando at 25 years old, distilled in 1970 and bottled in 1995.

Kilkerran 2007 Cadenhead's 11 Year Old Sherry Cask / with Miniature 5cl

Arguably the first ever independent bottling of Kilkerran, bottled by Cadenhead's in the summer of 2018.

One of 564 bottles.

This Taiwanese distillery has been making a big splash. A cask in this range won the World Whiskies Awards best single malt 2015. Very impressive!

Distilled in 2013 and matured in cask #W130116022A, this is bottle number 32 of 195 bottled exclusively for Dekanta's Oriental range. 

Kilchoman Inaugural Release

The first ever bottling of Kilchoman as a single malt, this Inaugural Release was aged for 3 years in Buffalo Trace bourbon casks, before being finished for 6 months in Oloroso sherry casks.

Only 9,000 bottles were produced.

Kilchoman 2010 SMWS 4 Year Old 129.7

A Scotch Malt Whisky Society bottling of Kilchoman, distilled on 29th June 2010 and bottled 4 years later.

This is a young expression from the still relatively new Islay distillery, and was matured in a first fill ex-bourbon barrel.

One of 272 bottles.

Knockando 12 Year Old Manager's Dram 2012

The Manager’s Dram series of whiskies were bottled exclusively for employees of what is now known as Diageo.  These whiskies were selected by the respective distillery managers within Diageo malt distilling and bottled at natural cask strength.

Kilchoman 2007 Bourbon Barrel 11 Year Old / Feis Ile 2018

The 2018 Feis offering from Kilchoman.

Distilled March 2007 and bottled on May 2017 aged in bourbon barrels 34, 65, 83 and 83.

This bottle was one of the oldest Kilchomans produced at time of release. 

Balvenie 15 Year Old Single Barrel / Sherry Cask

A classic, legendary Speyside that has recently been revamped, this version of Balvenie 15 year old Single Barrel is from sherry cask #4686.

No longer are we told the year of distillation or bottling.

From North Star Spirits, this is a limited edition 23 year old blended malt from Speyside distilleries.

Distilled in October 1993 and bottled in May 2017 at cask strength; One of only 400 bottles.

VAT 69 4.5 Litre 1970s

Vat 69 was originally bottled in Port bottles, it maintained this iconic look for over 100 years.

This is an older bottling from the 1970s, and its enormous. There are not measurements for volume or strength visible on the faded rear label, however it is approximately 4.5 litre.

Velier Royal Navy Very Old Rum

'The oldest blend of rums of British Caribbean rums of the 21st century.'

This is a Velier produced blend of rum from Trinidad, Guyana and Jamaica, including a 20 year old from the lost Caroni distillery.

This has a 'weighted average age' of 17.42 years and was produced by Velier master blended Luca Gargano using vintages from between 1990 to 2005.
