Ardbeg Kildalton 2014

This Ardbeg was released in connection with the North Highland Initiative (NHI) a charity which helps rural communities across the Northern Highlands.

Elegantly packaged, it is a combination of first fill and refill ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. Please do not mistake this Kildalton for that which was released in 2004, 10 years previously.

Ardbeg Day / Feis Ile 2012

Released on 1st June 2012 as Ardbeg’s annual Feis Ile bottling, it was not only available at Ardbeg Distillery, but also via 100 of Ardbeg’s ‘embassies’.

Ardbeg 17 Year Old

The first releases of Ardbeg 17 year old sparked a renewed interest in Ardbeg.

Now, several years after being discontinued, it is still recognised as a sensational Ardbeg.

The spirit used to make up this release would have been distilled and filled in to casks during the period when Hiram Walker owned the distillery, with production taking place between 1977 and 1981.

Arran 1996 Thompson Brothers 20 Year Old

An independent bottling from the Arran distillery.

Distilled in 1996 and bottled at 20 years old from a single cask selected by brothers Phil and Simon Thompson.

Arran White Stag Third Release 21 Year Old

The third release exclusive to Arran's online community, the White Stag.  

Specially selected by a tasting panel of 20 members of the White Stag, these bottlings are always eagerly awaited, selling out online incredibly quickly!  

Distilled in 1996 and bottled on the 12th of September 2017 from a pair of Sherry hogsheads - #622 and #652.

One of 695 bottles.

Ardbeg 1990 Airigh Nam Beist 2008

Ardbeg don't release many vintages at all now, and the Airgh Nam Beist was one of the last, prior to the Galileo.

Taking it's name from the Gaelic meaning of \"shelter\" or pasture, this whisky was distilled in 1990 and bottled in 2008 at 46%.

Kirin Fuji-Sanroku 18 Year Old Small Batch 2018 Release / with 2 x Glasses

Distilled at Kirin distilleries, this is a blend produced in a small batch for 2018. 

This is technically one of the world's largest distilleries, producing both malt and grain and also having its own cooperage and bottling plant. 

This release was category winner at the 2018 World Whisky Award.

Includes two Mount Fuji glasses.

This is the 2nd release of Ardbeg's Supernova and was very highly acclaimed. Released in 2010, this was peated in excess of 100 p.p.m.

Ardbeg Alligator Untamed Release

A fierce charring to the cask or 'alligator char' provides the name for this whisky, aggressive heat when applied to the inside of the casks causes the cracking of the wood which resembles that of an alligator's skin. Following the acclaimed committee release, the un-tamed edition was released in 2011 and quickly sold out.

Ardbeg Supernova Stellar Release

Following the incredibly popular committee release of Ardbeg Supernova, this commercial release sold out quickly as well.  

Ardbeg Supernova is the peatiest Ardbeg ever released at 100ppm, an estimate 18,000 bottles were released in January 2009.

Jim Murray selected this as his 'Scotch Whisky of the Year' in 2010 and runner up for his Whisky of the Year.

Amrut Spectrum 004 Single Cask / Canadian 150th Anniversary

Amrut have released some amazing whiskies.

This whisky has been matured for three years in ex-bourbon barrels, then transferred to specially custom crafted casks made from four different types of wood. 

The packaging bears an entirely inexplicable call-out to James Bond, though we' suspect the legal team at Amrut would deny any connection between the product and Alexander Fleming's spy extraordinaire.

Spectrum cask #4119, bottled exclusively to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Canada.

Karuizawa 15 Year Old 100% Malt Whisky 10cl

Karuizawa produced outstanding whiskies, many of which have received international acclaim. They have released almost 300 single casks which are becoming increasingly rarer and rarer as demand soars.

This limited bottling was distilled just before the closure of the distillery in 2000.

Ardbeg Mor 10 Year Old 4.5 Litre / 2nd Edition

They don't get much peatier than Ardbeg - this is a huge bottle of their beloved 10 year old which was released in 2008. 

The bottle come with all original packaging, including Ardbeg Mor branded shipping box.

Aberlour 1990 Douglas Laing 25 Year Old / XOP

This is a Douglas Laing bottling of Aberlour, part of their Xtra Old Particular series. XOP is their ultra-premium range, launched in 2013 and reserved for casks considered the Laing \"family jewels.\"

Distilled in November 1990 and bottled form single sherry butt #10953 in November 2015.

Auchentoshan 1975 21 Year Old 75cl / US Import

Bottled in 1997 from a vatting of 18 casks all containing whisky distilled at Auchentoshan in 1975.

Knockando 1968 Extra Old Reserve 

Bottled in 1991, it is very rare to see a Knockando of this age. An older expression from an excellent Speyside distillery. 

Ancient Ancient Age 10 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon 1980s

Jim Murray is a fan of this brand, however this is apparently hard to find outside of Kentucky.

Ancient Age was introduced in 1938 by the Schenley company, at what was then known as George T. Stagg distillery. A Japanese firm known as Age International purchased the distillery and brand in 1983, renaming the former as Ancient Age distillery.

This was bottled in the 1980s, shortly after the Age International takeover. The Sazerac company purchased the distillery in 1992, and although they still produce the Ancient Age brand, they replaced it as their flagship product in 1999, renaming the distillery Buffalo Trace, and launching a bourbon of the same name a few months later.

Ancient Ancient Age is the older expression of the brand, aged 10 years as opposed to the standard 3.

A young Ardbeg distilled on the 24th of May 2007 and matured in a 2nd fill ex-sherry butt. 

One of 624 bottles filled by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society.

Ardbeg Supernova SN2015

The fourth and final release of Supernova... SN2015.

With Ardbeg having blasted whisky into space and it having returned successfully, we are being treated to a new Supernova. We'll need to wait and see as to what Dr Lumsden has to say about zero gravity maturation... probably that it isn't cost efficient. Peated to over 100 PPM, this is a big bang of a whisky. Truly out of this world. A star of a dram. Is that enough space puns yet?

Arran Smugglers' Series Volume 2 / The High Seas

A very cool nod to the shady history of Arran's distilling. Back during the 18th and 19th century the island was a producer of illicit whisky. Presented in a book style package to hide the goods. 

This second release pays tribute to the producers of the famed Arran Waters. 

The whisky itself is a peated spirit matured in rum casks and finished in first fill bourbon barrels.

Released in 2016. One of 8,700 bottles.
