Bruichladdich 33 Year Old Legacy Series #5

Bruichladdich released the Legacy series from 2002 until 2007, this is the fifth release and was distilled in 1972 then bottled in September 2006. 

Limited to 1,690 bottles.

Balvenie Tun 1509 Batch #1

The latest 'tun' release from Balvenie, following in the footsteps of Balvenie Tun 1401 and 1858.

This larger Tun can hold up to four times as much liquid as Tun 1401 and hence we expect a larger quantity of this release.  

This release is a combination of 42 casks: 35 traditional American oak barrels and 7 European oak sherry butts. These were married in Tun 1509 for several months before bottling.

Bruichladdich 1989 Black Art 22 Year Old / Edition 3.1

The third Black Art release from Bruichladdich, distilled in 1989 and bottled as a 22 year old.

Matured in wide variety of American and European oak wines casks, now an annual release within the Bruichladdich core range.

Ardbeg 21 Year Old Committee Release 2016

Ardbeg Twenty One was exclusively available to members of the Ardbeg Committee, a members’ club of over 120,000 people created to ensure the distillery never closes again. 

The distillery closed twice during its history – in 1981 and 1996. Mickey Heads, Ardbeg Distillery manager and chairman of the Ardbeg Committee dedicated this release to the Committee Members saying  “Ardbeg Twenty One is a shining example of Ardbeg’s enduring spirit [and] I’m so pleased we can share it with our members.”

This Ardbeg uses liquid distilled in the mid-90s, Prior to the time of its last closure. Heads said “The committee have invested much in ensuring the future of the distillery and it’s only right that they should share the rewards of its turbulent past too.”

Bowmore 1988 Port Cask 21 Year Old

This Bowmore was distilled in 1988 and fully matured in Port casks for 21 years.

Bunnahabhain 1973 Liquid Sun 36 Year Old

This Bunnahabhain was distilled in 1973 and bottled for Liquid Sun in Germany.

Aged for 36 years in a sherry hogshead and bottled in 2010.

One of the most sought after Flora and Fauna bottlings, discontinued in the late 1990s when Bacardi became owners of the distillery.

Bowmore Devils Cask 10 Year Old Batch #2 

This, Devil's Cask II, is the second release in the incredibly popular Devil's Cask Small Batch Releases.  

This release was matured exclusively in first fill Sherry casks.

\"Where The Devil is He?\" - The story goes the devil was spotted in the circular church at Bowmore, the villagers chased the devil into Bowmore Distillery where, as legend goes, the devil escaped in a cask.

This release was matured exclusively in first fill sherry casks and bottled at cask strength, It was very limited, with only 540 bottles available in the UK and no more than 6,000 worldwide.

The second Black Art release, distilled in 1989 and bottled in 2010 as a 21 year old.

Bowmore Devil's Cask 10 Year Old Batch #1 75cl / US Import

Released in October 2013, this release from Bowmore barely even reached retailer shelves. The Devil is rumoured to have escaped Bowmore in one of the distilleries casks, after being chased from the famous church in Bowmore; which has no corners so he was unable to hide there. 

This release was matured exclusively in first fill sherry casks and bottled at cask strength, It was very limited, with only 540 bottles available in the UK and no more than 6,000 worldwide.

Bunnahabhain 1968 Family Silver

Bunnahabhain distilled in 1968 and selected to be bottled by the Board of Directors of Highland Distilleries for the Family Silver Range.

Aberlour 1980 22 Year Old

Distilled in 1980 and bottled in 2002, this is a 22 year old Aberlour. 

Bottle number 3032 of approximately 4500 bottles. 

Aberlour 1994 Warehouse No.1 Sherry Cask 

Only available at Aberlour distillery, this distillery exclusive Aberlour was matured exclusively in a first fill sherry cask #806, distilled in June 1994.

Aged for 16 years, this is bottle number 425.

Bruichladdich 1991 Yellow Submarine 14 Year Old / WMD II

A limited edition bottling of Bruichladdich released to commemorate the finding of a small yellow submarine on Islay which apparently belonged to the Ministry of Defence.

This Bruichladdich was distilled in 1991 and bottled as a 14 year old.

Ben Nevis 1996 Single Cask 21 Year Old #75 / LMDW

A 1996 vintage distillery bottling of Ben Nevis, bottled in August 2018.

This 21 year old single malt was matured in a refill sherry butt and bottled at cask strength.

Cask #75 yielded 515 bottles, this is number 153.

This single cask bottling was produced exclusively for La Maison du Whisky.

Ardbeg 17 Year Old

The first releases of Ardbeg 17 year old sparked a renewed interest in Ardbeg.

Now, several years after being discontinued, it is still recognised as a sensational Ardbeg.

The spirit used to make up this release would have been distilled and filled in to casks during the period when Hiram Walker owned the distillery, with production taking place between 1977 and 1981.

A sumptuously dark single cask hand filled bottling from Aberfeldy distillery.

Distilled in 1999 and bottled by hand at the distillery from cask #3 on 3rd July 2018.

Balvenie 17 Year Old Islay Cask

Released in 2003, this was the very first of the Balvenie 17 Year Old expressions.

''In the making of The Balvenie Islay Cask, David Stewart selected Balvenie single malt which had matured in traditional oak casks for at least 17 years and transferred it into 94 casks which had previously held Islay single malt. After six months he felt the casks had imparted the desired delicate amount of peaty notes, typical of Islay, whilst retaining the distinctively honeyed character of The Balvenie.''

Only 94 casks were ever produced.

Bunnahabhain 1978 Douglas Laing 30 Year Old

A Douglas Laing era Old Malt Cask release from Bunnahabhain distillery.

Distilled in December 1978 and bottled in April 2009 after being matured in a single refill butt #5120.

One of 566 bottles.

An independently bottled Bunnahabhian, part of Douglas Laing's premium Xtra Old Particular series, XOP.

Distilled in February 1988 and then matured for 30 years in refill butt #12254 in March 2018. 

One of only 308 bottles.

Aultmore 25 Year Old

A 25 year old bottling of Aultmore, this is from batch #41 and is bottle number 2136.

Bunnahabhain 1978 The Bottlers 30 Year Old

30 Year Old Bunnahabhain, distilled in December 1978 and bottled in May 2009 from single refill sherry hogshead #7586, which was a refill butt.

Benriach 1976 First Cask 27 Year Old

This is an independently bottled Benriach from Direct Wines, part of their First Cask range.

Distilled in December 1976 and bottled 27 years later from single cask number #9529.

This 1985 vintage Bruichladdich was the fourth edition in the DNA series, distilled in February 1985 and bottled as a 27 year old.

Bowmore 10 Year Old Forth Rail Bridge Centenary Decanter

Released to commemorate the centenary of the iconic Bridge on 4th March 1990. This incredible structure is on track to being declared a world heritage site.

Although the flagon is described as a Limited Edition of 1,200, the reality is that only 400 were issued due to a contractual hitch which was never resolved, consequently, there are no numbered examples higher than 400.

This information was provided by the then customer services manager at Bowmore, Mr. George Hocknul.

Released in a black ceramic flagon in a an impressive red silk lined presentation box which contains a certificate of authenticity in the form of an invitation to the official opening on 4th March 1890 by the Prince of Wales, the box also contains some related paperwork.

A 16 year old limited edition Bowmore, distilled in 1991 and matured exclusively in a Port cask.

Bottled at natural cask strength.

Bruichladdich 1990 Academy Valinch 25 Year Old / Sherry Hogshead

A very limited bottling of Bruichladdich, released exclusively at the distillery visitor centre. 

Sherry hogshead cask #6 was distilled in 1990 and aged 25 years.

The bottle celebrates the Bruichladdich Academy, a three-day visitor experience that includes tours of the island, distillery, and accommodation in the Distillery House.
