Glenfiddich 30 Year Old / 40th Anniversary of the Visitor Centre Opening

Glenfiddich set the bar in lots of regards, being the first distillery to have a visitor's centre has really helped influence them becoming the world's best selling malt.

Prior to the big wooden box packaging, this bottle was released for the 40th anniversary of the Visitor centre being opened.

Glenmorangie 1971 The Culloden Bottle

Released in 1996 to commemorate the 250th Anniversary of the Battle of Culloden the final battle of the Jacobites lead by Bonnie Prince Charlie.

Only 2,500 bottles were produced in associate with The National Museum of Scotland, this is bottle number 1,336.

Glenmorangie Single Cask 16 Year Old / 400 Years of Golf in Dornoch / Including Scorecard, Booklet, Tag and 3 x Golf Balls

A very rare official bottling of single cask Glenmorangie, that has been matured for 16 years in an ex-oloroso sherry cask before being bottled at cask strength in 2016 to commerate the 400 year celebrations at Royal Dornoch Golf Club.

Only 500 bottles were produced with 400 available direct from the club, and 100 from Glenmorangie itself.

Inlcuded in this lot are a scorecard, booklet, Tag and 3 x Golf Balls.

Glenury Royal 1968 36 Year Old

Opened by Captain Robert Barclay in 1833, this Distillery was granted the right to use the ”Royal” suffix by George 1V, it was mothballed in 1985 and later sold to be replaced by a housing development. 

Distilled in 1968 & bottled in 2004 this is now a quite rare expression from a closed Distillery.

Glenmorangie Claret Wood Finish

The Glenmorangie Claret Wood Finish is a unique vatting of eight casks were filled between 1976 and 1979 and matured until 1989 when they were chosen to be combined and finished in Claret casks.

Girvan 1964 Gleann Mor 52 Year Old

The cask used for this bottling were filled on the 10th of January 1964 and bottled after 52 years on the 16th May 2006.

One of 182 bottles. 

Glen Grant 1972 Signatory Vintage 20 Year Old

This Glen Grant was distilled on the 21st September 1972 and bottled in May 1993, after being matured in Sherry casks for 20 years.

Glendronach 1976 Kingsbury 19 Year Old

This was bottled by Kingsbury who mostly export to Japan, they are a widely sought after independant bottler, with many amazing vintage whiskies from the 1990s.

Distilled on 29th November 1976 and bottled in June 1996 from a single ex-Bourbon cask #3492.

This was released in 1993.

Glenfiddich 1999 Hudson Cask #136  / Spirit of Speyside 2016

At this years Spirit of Speyside festival Glenfiddich released three quarter casks - titled the Hudson Casks.  

In total there were 86 bottles released from the three casks, this bottle comes from cask #136 of which only 36 bottles were drawn, this is bottle number 23.

Distilled in 1999 and bottled in 2016.

Glenfiddich 21 Year Old Havana Reserve

The short lived 'Havana' Reserve 21 year old Glenfiddich, which was removed from circulation due to causing issues in the US with it's association with Cuba.

Finished in rum casks, this whisky was replaced eventually with the current 21 year old Glenfiiddich Gran Reserva.

The late Iain Banks in his search for the perfect dram in his book Raw Spirit, claimed this to be it.

Glenrothes 1965 Gordon and MacPhail

This 40 year old whisky was distilled in 1965 and bottled in 2005 by Gordon and Macphail. 

Released as part of their Macphail's Collection.

Please note the sticker on the rear of the bottle, again easy to remove.

Glenmorangie Tùsail

The sixth release in Glenmorangie's Private Edition range following on from the Companta and Ealanta. The malt used in this release is Maris Otter, a very popular brewing malt which is known for it's rich, rustic malty flavours.

Glenmorangie Companta

The fifth release of the Private Edition releases from Glenmorangie, the Companta was incredibly popular, selling out from many retailers within days/weeks. The Companta has an initial maturation of American white oak ex-bourbon casks followed by a further maturation between 60% Burgundy wine casks from Clos de Tart and 40% Rhône Valley casks that held Rasteau.

Glenmorangie Ealanta 1993

The fourth edition of Glenmorangie's Private Edition range, the Ealanta was released in 2013. Distilled in 1993 and bottled in 2013, this Glenmorangie was matured fully in virgin American white oak casks.
