Glenmorangie Companta

The latest of the Private Edition releases from Glenmorangie, the Companta was incredibly popular selling out from many retailers within days/weeks.

The Companta has an initial maturation of American white oak ex-bourbon casks followed by a further maturation between 60% Burgundy wine casks from Clos de Tart and 40% Rhône Valley casks that held Rasteau.

Glen Ord 5 Year Old Early 1980s / Peter Dawson

Produced by Peter Dawson Limited who were licensee's up to when Dewar's took over in 1982, which date this bottle from between 1st January 1981 and then.

After the Dewar's take over in 1982 the malt was marketed as Glenordie.

Glendronach 1988 Cadenhead's 15 Year Old

Distilled in 1988 and bottled in January 2004, this Glendronach has been matured in a sherry butt.

One of 654 bottles.

Distilled in 1992, matured in a Bourbon Hogshead, and bottled in 2015 as a 23 Year Old.

One of 456 bottles. 

Glen Garioch 1992 Blackadder Raw Cask 23 Year Old

Distilled in November 1992 and bottled 23 years later. 

The Raw cask range is unfiltered... not just chill filtration but regular filtration. So often there are particles and sediment from the cask. 

As this is from the early 90s it will have a subtle touch of peat that is no longer present in modern Glen Garioch.
