Jura 40 Year Old

Distilled on the 12th of November 1966 and bottled 40 years later, making this oldest Jura ever bottled. 

Presented in a delightful leather box, this is the top of Jura's output.

The original press release states the following: 

\"The Isle of Jura 40 Year Old is the rarest amongst one of the four whiskeys Whyte and Mackay Ltd. are proud to include in Their Rare and Prestige Collection This is a single malt whiskey distilled and filled to cask on. the 12th of November 1966. This rare cask has yielded only 98 bottles for global release. The beautiful Isle of Jura lies off the West coast of Scotland and can rightfully claim to be the least populated community in the world to have its own distillery. Pure spring water, clean fresh air and generations of distilling tradition have quietly crafted a sublime and delicate malt.\"

A stunning presentation of Isle of Jura 30 year old distilled on 10th November 1973 and matured in a single Gonzales Byass Oloroso sherry butt.

Single cask #3155 yileded only 468 bottles, this is bottle number 445

Suntory 1899 60th Anniversary Bottling 1983 Release

A special bottling to celebrate the 60th year of Suntory being involved in whisky. 

Yamazaki was built in 1923 allthough it did not produce spirit until 1924. 

The 1899 refers to the opening of Torii Shoten, Torii Shinjiro's wine shop and start of what would become Suntory.

An independent bottling of Jura aged for 27 years. This has been bottled by Kingsbury,  A Scottish whisky bottler who sell primarily in Japan.

Scapa 1980 Kingsbury's 16 Year Old Single Cask

This was bottled by Kingsbury who mostly export to Japan, they are a widely sought after independant bottler, with many amazing vintage whiskies from the 1990s.

Scapa only produced spirit during the early 1980s before a period of closure, we love to see these 1980 vintage Scapa's appear at auction as they shine a great light on this fantastic Orcadian distillery from a period of uncertainity.

Distilled on 2nd May 1980 and bottled in June 1996 from a single ex-Bourbon cask #12087.

St Magdalene / Linlithgow 1982 Single Malts of Scotland 26 Year Old

Distilled in October 1982 and bottled in 2008 after being matured in cask 1622.

Springbank 1999 Small Casks Private Bottling

A rather unique and particular rare bottling of Springbank, matured in 'small casks'.

Shaw Liqueur Scotch and Irish Malt Whisky Vatting 11 Year Old 1920s / Low Fill

A very old blended Irish Whisky, aged for 11 years.

Interestingly the label not only states that this is an All Malt Irish Blend, but also a 'Finest Old Liqueur Scotch Whisky'.

This leads us to believe that this bottle dates from the early 1900s before any regulation had been put in place preventing any bottler calling their liquid Scotch Whisky.

Bottled by/for SHAW, The Highest Standard of Quality.

S.J.S is marked on the top righthand corner of the label.

Jameson 2007 Vintage Reserve 

A very well respected and rare Jameson, including some of their oldest and rarest vintages. Some of which is pot-still whisky matured in a Port Pipe.

Scapa 1990 SMWS 13 Year Old 17.26

A very unusual Sherry matured Scapa released by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society. This is an absolute craker of a dram.

Distilled in March 1990 and bottled in Jun 2003 as a 13 year old.

Johnnie Walker King George V 

Bottled to celebrate the first Royal Warrant being granted to John Walker and Sons Ltd to supply scotch whisky to the British Royal Household in 1934.  Johnnie Walker King George V was designed to replicate Johnnie Walker from this day, some Port Ellen was used in the making of this alongside Cardhu, Royal Lochnagar and some well aged grain whisky.

Springbank 1996 Madeira Cask 12 Year Old

A 12 year old Springbank distilled in November 1996 and  bottled in July 2009 only 179 bottles were released from this single Madeira hogshead sold exclusively by Oddbins.

Springbank 1999 Local Barley 16 Year Old

A recent release of Springbank that has all but vanished from the shelves within hours of release.  

The first 'Local Barley' release from Springbank in decades (with one or two exceptions).  Distilled in 1999 and bottled in 2015, the 'local barley' comes from the varietal 'Prisma' and was grown on the Kintyre Peninsula, Low Machrimore Farm.

Limited to only 9,000 bottles.
