Remy Jafflin 1984 Nuit-St-Georges

Domaine Jafflin was established in 1954 by Rémy Jafflin and his wife, in the Burgundian appellation of Nuit-Saint-Georges.  The Domaine is now run by their children Albert and Anne, and Albert's wife Beatrice.  From a winegrowing family herself, Beatrice has taken the estate forward with the acquisition of vineyards in other Burgundian appellations.

This Pinot Noir is from AOC Nuit-Saint-Georges, 1984 vintage.

Teichenne are a family company established in 1956 in Spain.

Tinto Pesquera 1996 Ribera Del Duero

Bodega Tinto Pesquera is one of Spain's most recognisable and iconic wines.  Since the 1970s, the reputation of this winery has steadily increased, first gaining national prominance, then European-wide, now the winery and their wine is respected worldwide.

The \"Tinto\" is the entry to their 3-wine range - and is a high starting benchmark!  100% Tempranillo, aged for 18 months in oak barrels.  1996 was an exceptional year for Spanish wines, this wine is likely to be ripe for drinking but may also reward further ageing.

Torres \"Coronas\" 1970 3x72cl

Torres is one of Spain's largest wine producers, with wineries in several of the country's wine-producing regions.  Registered on the 7th February 1907, \"Coronas\" is one of Spanish wines' oldest trademarks.

Produced from DO Catalunya, this wine is Tempranillo dominant, ennobled by a small quantity of Cabernet Sauvignon.

Romeral Rioja

Bodegas Del Romeral was founded by Don Félix Azpilicueta Martínez in 1888, making the winery among the earliest in La Rioja.  Marks & Spencer previously released an own-label Rioja wine under the name Marquès De Romeral (possibly, though not certainly, sourced from Bodegas Del Romeral).

Given the label damage, we are unable to categorically ascertain this wine's lineage, vintage, alcoholic volume or further useful information.  However, the wine is likely to be Tempranillo dominant, though possibly blended with some small quantities of Garnacha.

Torres \"Sangre De Toro\" 1988

Torres is one of Spain's largest wine producers, with wineries in several of the country's wine-producing regions.  In the late 1960's, Miguel Torres decided to produce a wine in homage to the Sangre De Toro (Bull's Blood), in capturing the pure character of the bull.

The wine is a blend of Cariñena and Garnacha, matured in old American oak barrels for 6 months.
