The Old Malt Cask series is one of the most established independent labels on the market. It was launched by Douglas Laing in 1998 and bottled by them until 2013 when the brand became part of the Hunter Laing portfolio instead.

This particular bottling was said to be Prince Charles' favourite! 

Yamazaki Suntory Pure Malt 12 Year Old 1980s

An older discontinued version of Suntory Pure Malt, composed of whisky distilled at Yamazaki distillery.

These earlier editions focused on the Suntory brand rather than Yamazaki.

The Italian tax-strip dates the bottle between 1978-1992.

Linkwood 12 Year Old Manager's Dram 1999

The Manager’s Dram series of whiskies were bottled exclusively for employees of what is now known as Diageo.  These whiskies were selected by the respective distillery managers within Diageo malt distilling and bottled at natural cask strength.

A 12 year old Linkwood, matured in refill sherry casks chosen by distillery manager Harry Fox bottled on 1st December 1999.

Laphroaig 1990 Whisky Agency 20 Year Old / The Perfect Dram - Sweden Exclusive

The Perfect Dram is a series of independent bottlings produced for the Whisky Agency in Germany. This particular bottle was a Swedish exclusive.

Distilled in 1990 on the isle of Islay, this Laphroaig was bottled at 20 years old in 2011.

One of 237 bottles filled at cask strength from an ex-bourbon hogshead.

The Whisky Agency was founded in Germany by Carsten Ehrlich, who is also the driving force behind The Whisky Fair in Limburg, one of the world's most renowned annual whisky gatherings. Their passion is unquestionable, and they have a regular release schedule of high quality single casks, often in collaboration with some of the most respected whisky bars and retailers. The Whisky Agency's labels include The Perfect Dram, Liquid Library, Private Stock, and Liquid Sun.

This Longmorn was distilled in April 1993 and bottled 25 years later for the Scotch Malt Whisky Scociety. The liquid was aged in a Refill Hogshead/ex-Bourbon cask and it was bottled at a cask strength of 48.5%

Yoichi are famous for insisting on coal-firing their stills, and spent a vast sum on a filter to reduce the environmental impact of doing so.
