Speyside 1992 Douglas Laing 20 Year Old 75cl / US Exclusive

An independently bottled Speyside from Douglas Laing.

Distilled in May 1992, matured for 20 years in a single cask and bottled in May 2012 for the US market. Sherry butt #DL8472 was selected specially by Brad Jarvis and yielded 150 bottles. 

The Old Malt Cask series is one of the most established independent labels on the market. It was launched by Douglas Laing in 1998 and bottled by them until 2013 when the brand became part of the Hunter Laing portfolio instead.

Skara Brae 1999 Cooper's Choice 17 Year Old Cask #46 / The Secret Orkney

A mysterious malt from Orkney meaning it's a 50/50 guess between Highland Park and Scapa. The name 'Skara Brae' comes from a stone-built Neolithic settlement on the Bay of Skaill on the Island.

Distilled in November 1999 and aged for 17 years, the liquid was drawn from bourbon cask #64. 

One of only 354 bottles.

Am independent bottling of Strathmill single malt.

Edition Spirits was founded in 2010 by Scott and Andrew Laing, the sons of Douglas Laing founder, Stewart. When he left Douglas Laing to establish the new Hunter Laing company in 2013, he was joined by his sons who made Edition Spirits one of its operating arms, along with Langside Distillers.

Signatory Vintage were established in 1988 by Andrew Symington and are one of Scotland's most prolific independent bottlers. Their offices and bottling facility are located next to Edradour distillery, which they have also owned since 2002.

Distilled in 1996 and bottled in 2018 from single hogshead #2097, specially selected by Binny's Beverage Dept in the US.

Created by a number of independent distillers - Arran, BenRiach, Bladnoch, Glendronach, Glengyle, Kilchoman and Springbank. Their whisky was blended, bottled and sold with all contributors to this project waiving their usual fees so £40.94 of every bottle could be donated to help Refugees International Japan after the Tsnumai which caused so much destruction in early 2011.

2,000 bottles were released with 1,200 being sold in the UK.

A pure pot still Jamaica rum from Smith and Cross. Plummer and Wedderburn are two of the main classifications the British had on Jamaica rum distillate in the late 19th and early 20th century (when it was all pot-still) and these were taken back to the British Isles, regarded as the \"home-trade\" quality.

Plummer and Wedderburn type rums are famous for their exotic fruit flavours.

A very popular rye produced at Buffalo Trace and named after the distillery proprietors, the Sazerac company.

The Sazerac company in turn, is named after the Sazerac Coffee House, a bar owned by company founder, Thomas H. Handy. The Sazerac company bought what is now the Buffalo Trace distillery in 1992 (known as the Ancient Age distillery until 1999).

A Highland blended malt brought to you by Wilson & Morgan. The liquid was distilled in 2001 and bottled in 2015. 

Wilson & Morgan was founded in Italy in 1992 by Fabio Rossi, the son of prolific importer Mario Rossi Jr, who began distributing Scotch whisky back in the 1960s. His son’s company was one of a new generation of Italian bottlers established in the 1990s, which aimed to replicate the successes of predecessors like Samaroli and Moon Import.

Our system will then automatically raise your bid in set increments if you’re outbid, up to your maximum. If someone bids above your set limit, we’ll notify you by email so you can choose whether to increase your bid.

Placing a Single Bid
Alternatively, place a single bid by selecting the button on the right side of the bidding panel. The button displays the amount needed for the next increment. For example, if the current highest bid is £50.00, the button will show "+ £55.00" (reflecting a £5.00 increment).

Customers across the world can choose to sell their rum with Whisky Auctioneer. Our Client Service team will support sellers by providing valuations for their bottles and advice on the best way to get their whisky to us for sale into our auctions.

The bottles will be checked-in, authenticated, photographed, and then listed into the next available auction, or an auction of your choice, by our expert team. Whisky Auctioneer hosts monthly auctions, where registered users from across the globe can bid on bottles via our website.  

After the auction closing date, the highest bidder will be notified by email. Payment is required within 72hrs. The buyer can then choose to ship, store, or collect the bottle(s). Buyer fees are applied during the online checkout process.  

The seller will receive payment within 21 working days of the end of the auction, directly to their chosen bank account. Seller fees will be applied to the seller’s invoice after the auction.
