Hazelburn 2002 Single Cask 15 Year Old / Cognac Butt

Hazelburn is produced at Springbank distillery, and is triple distilled without any peat influence.

This Hazelburn was distilled in December 2002, matured for 15 years in a single ex-Cognac butt before being bottled in November 2018.

One of only 414 bottles filled exclusively for the UK market.

Highland Park 12 Year Old 1990s

This classic 1990's bottling was whisky author Michael Jackson’s favourite tipple.

Hakushu 12 Year Old 

Hakushu was built in 1973 at the foot of the Southern Japan Alps, a location deliberately chosen by Suntory to provide a contrast to the style of spirit produced at Yamazaki.

Interestingly, a second distillery was built in 1981 (referred to as Hakushu East) which has stills of varying shapes and sizes which are able to produce a wide range of distillate character. This is in contrast to the now-dormant old site (referred to as Hakushu West) which had 24 large stills identical in shape and size, but only capable of producing one particular style of distillate. 

This age statement was discontinued as of June 2018.

Highland Park 2001 Single Cask 15 Year Old #1674 / Vintersolstandet

A vintage Highland Park, part of their single cask series.

This was distilled in 2001 and bottled at 15 years old from cask #1674, a refill butt.

Bottled for Vintersolståndet, the Swedish winter solstice.

Limited to 552 bottles.

Old Pulteney 2007 SMWS 11 Year Old 52.22

'Dusky and deep'

A single cask Old Pulteney, bottled by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society from cask 52.22.

Distilled 21st March 2007 and matured for 11 years in a combination of bourbon wood and a first fill ex-Oloroso hogshead.

One of 230 bottles.

Highland Park 2005 Single Cask 12 Year Old #4809 75cl / Whisky Brother

A single cask Highland Park, aged 12 years and bottled for Whisky Brother in South Africa.

Distilled in 2005 and bottled 2017 from first fill American sherry oak puncheon #4809.

One of 584 bottles.

Old Chevalier Scotch Whisky 1940s / US Import

Old Chevalier is a blended Scotch whisky produced by Hepburn & Ross in Glasgow.

This was imported to the US in the late 1940s by Marco Importing Co, IL.

Hakushu 10 Year Old 35cl

Suntory's other excellent distillery which is often over looked for Yamazaki.

Interestingly, there is also a grain distillery at Hakushu, which will be used to create artisan grain spirit for high-end blends, in contrast to the grain whisky produced on a fairly industrial scale at Chita. 

No longer available, the 10 year old Hakushu rarely appears these days.

A new addition to the Hibiki range, a blend of over ten malts and grains featuring Yamazaki, Hakushu, and Chita all aged in five types of cask. 

As always with Hibiki the bottle always has 24 facets representing the 24 seasons of the Japanese lunar calendar.

This is an independent bottling by the Thompson Bothers of Dornoch distillery.

Old 1889 Royal 12 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon 1980s

The Old 1889 brand is a historic bourbon brand, now owned by Heaven Hill. The bourbon was originally produced at Meadowlawn distillery, however the site suffered a severe fire in 1966, and then burned down completely in 1971. They continued to bottle the brand until 1977 when their stock ran out and Heaven Hill acquired the label.

Almost unbelievably, the Heaven Hill distillery in Bardstown where this was bottled in 1988, also burned down 8 years later. Heaven Hill's distillery operation has been located at Bernheim ever since.

This is a Japanese import.

Oban 1989 Distillers Edition 

Diageo's distiller's edition releases have a different wine cask finish for each distillery.

This Oban has been finished in Montilla Fino cask wood. Bottled in 2003.

Henry McKenna 2007 Single Barrel Bourbon 10 Year Old #3656

A bourbon brand with an interesting history. Henry McKenna was distilled by Seagram's for most of the 20th century at the Henry McKenna distillery in Fairfield, which they acquired from the family in 1941.

Seagram's closed the Fairfield distillery in 1976, and in an unusual deal, sold the domestic rights to the brand to Heaven Hill a few years later. Seagram's retained ownership of the export version however, producing it at their Four Roses distillery until their eventual dissolution in the early 2000s.

This is a single barrel bourbon distilled at Heaven Hill Bernheim on 10th April 2007 and bottled 10 years later. 

Henry McKenna 2007 Single Barrel Bourbon 10 Year Old #3678

It may be tenuous, but we love it all the same. 

Old Fitzgerald 8 Year Old Prime Bourbon Miniature 1960s / Stitzel-Weller

A popular bourbon produced at Stitzel Weller distillery. This is an older bottling of the 6 year old product, bottled in the 1960s. At this time the distillery was still run by the Van Winkle family.

The Old Fitzgerald brand is now owned and produced by Heaven Hill, with these older Stitzel-Weller productions becoming real collector's items.

Haig's Dimple 1960s

An old bottle of Dimple. Dimple was produced by Haig and interestingly in 1958 the Dimple bottle was the first container to be trademarked by the US Patent office, this was because of its unique design. 

The Haig family had a long history of distilling going back as far as the 15th Century. Since 1824 when Cameronbridge distillery was opened by John Haig, Haig has been a big brand in the whisky world. As part of a distilling dynasty John Haig became important in the regulation of Whisky production and was a spokesman for the industry. Although the brand began to shrink in the 1970s, in the last year it has seen a healthy revival with the help of Mr Posh Spice David Beckham.

House of Lords 1950s / US Import​

A lovely old example of this famous blend, bottled back in the 1950s when the brand was owned by William Whiteley, who incidentally owned Edradour at the time.

Old Pulteney 2006 Hand Filled 12 Year Old Cask #737 / Highland Whisky Festival 2019

A single sherry cask matured Old Pulteney, bottled by hand at the distillery, exclusively during the 2019 Highland Whisky Festival.

Distilled on the 30th August 2006 and bottled at 12 years old.
