George T Stagg 2018 Release

The 2018 edition of George T Stagg, part of the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection.

The Antique Collection celebrates historic US whiskey brands, figures and places. George T. Stagg was a 19th century distiller, and the Buffalo Trace distillery was named after him for most of the 20th century, becoming Ancient Age in 1983 and adopting its current title in 1999.

The 2018 bottling has been produced from 284 barrels containing Bourbon distilled in Spring 2003.

Glenugie 1982 Douglas Laing 27 Year Old

There really are very few examples of Glenugie around these days, this Douglas Laing bottling is part of the long-running Old Malt Cask series.

Distilled in March 1982 and bottled in March 2009 after maturation in a bourbon cask.

Glen Grant 1974 Berry Brothers and Rudd 37 Year Old

Distilled in 1974 and bottled in 2012 by Berry Brothers and Rudd.

Berry Brothers and Rudd is a firm steeped in history. They were established in the late 17th century, and received a Royal Warrant from King Edward VII in 1903. The company has been bottling single malt whisky from almost as early as that, and produced their first ever blend, Cutty Sark, in 1923.

Glenlivet 1970 Highland Inn 36 Year Old / Hankyu British Fair

A well-aged Glenlivet, selected and bottled by the Highlander Inn in Craigellachie for the Hankyu British Fair in 2006.

1970 was chosen as the vintage as this was the year of the first Hankyu British Fair. 36 year old was deemed fitting, as this was the 36th fair, and Glenlivet was slected purely for its prestige.

Glenfarclas 1994 Family Casks Double Cask / Special Release

Bottled as part of the Glenfarclas Family Cask series, perhaps the most extensive collection of vintage whiskies from a single distillery.

This 1994 vintage is a rare vatting of two casks. Both were Oloroso sherry casks, distilled on 3rd November 1994  and numbered #3913 and #3914.

Bottled as cask strength on 8th May 2014.

Glengoyne 1972 Whisky Agency 38 Year Old / The Perfect Dram

This Glengoyne was distilled in 1972 and matured in an ex-bourbon barrel.  Bottled by The Whisky Agency in 2011 as part of their Perfect Dram series. 

One of 165 bottles. 

The Whisky Agency was founded in Germany by Carsten Ehrlich, who is also the driving force behind The Whisky Fair in Limburg, one of the world's most renowned annual whisky gatherings. Their passion is unquestionable, and they have a regular release schedule of high quality single casks, often in collaboration with some of the most respected whisky bars and retailers. The Whisky Agency's labels include The Perfect Dram, Liquid Library, Private Stock, and Liquid Sun.

Glendronach 15 Year Old 75cl 1990s / US Import​

Along with the 1990s 12 Year Old Sherry cask, this 15 year old led the sales volume for Glendronach in the 1990’s before the distillery was passed to Billy Walker.

Billy then honoured the former 15 year old by naming the new version, \"Revival\" in the early 2000s - which was another resounding success before eventually being discontinued as well

Glencadam 1972 Signatory Vintage 29 Year Old with Miniature 5cl / Silent Stills

Bottled by Signatory Vintage, this Glencadam was distilled on 6th December 1972 and bottled on 29th October 2001 from cask #7821.

This is a bit of a time capsule, bottled for the Signatory Vintage Silent Stills series during the brief 3 year mothballing at the turn of the century.

The Silent Stills packs contain a 70cl bottle, 5cl miniature and replica bung. This is set 271 of 298.

Signatory Vintage were established in 1988 by Andrew Symington and are one of Scotland's most prolific independent bottlers. Their offices and bottling facility are located next to Edradour distillery, which they have also owned since 2002.

The distillery was closed in 1983 as it was not profitable, and demolished a few years later. Rare Malts releases from Glen Mhor are some of the few official bottlings from the distillery.

Our monthly auctions end from 7:00 PM (UK local time) on the closing date. If a bid is placed after 7:00 PM on any lot, the entire auction will be extended by an additional two minutes. 

The auction will end once all bidding has ceased for two minutes. Based on previous auction activity, the auction will continue for several hours and is most likely to finish between 9pm - 11pm (UK local time).
