George Dickel 110th Anniversary Powderhorn Bottle 1987

A Tennessee Sour Mash produced at Cascade Hollow distillery. Bottled in 1987 to celebrate the 110th anniversary of the George Dickel brand. The bottle is shaped like a Powderhorn, which were hollowed out cow or bull horns used to store gunpowder in. It is also a replica of the bottle used for the 1964 release which celebrated the re-opening of the Dickel distillery.

Fun fact: This is the same bottle used to make the prop bottle of \"Saurian Brandy\" in several episodes of the original Star Trek series.

Glenmorangie 10 Year Old Grand Slam Dram

A 10 year old Glenmorangie released to celebrate the legendary Grand Slam success of 1990 by Scotland's national rugby team (the last time Scotland won the 5 Nations Grand Slam).

Dated the 17th March 1990 as Scotland claimed victory over England to claim the title, the front picture is an image of the victors.

Glenrothes 2006 Douglas Laing / UK Exclusive

A deliciously dark looking Glenrothes from Douglas Laing, bottled from sherry butt ##DL13055.

Old Particular is Douglas Laing's flagship label, and was launched in 2013 after their Old Malt Cask series became part of the portfolio of the newly established Hunter Laing.

One of 278 bottles that are apprently \"The Chairman's Choice.\" This was exclusive to UK retail.

Glenrothes 1989 Signatory Vintage 21 Year Old Cask Strength

A single cask Glenrothes, distilled on the 31st of December 1989 and bottled on the 16th of March 2011.

Matured in recharred butt #24380 and bottled by Signatory Vintage for their Cask Strength Collection.

Signatory Vintage were established in 1988 by Andrew Symington and are one of Scotland's most prolific independent bottlers. Their offices and bottling facility are located next to Edradour distillery, which they have also owned since 2002.

Exclusive to Glenfarclas visitor centre, this whisky was bottled to commemorate the last filling of a second millennium cask, on 31st December 1999.

Glenlivet 2007 Signatory Vintage 11 Year Old / TWE

A single cask first-fill sherry matured Glenlivet, distilled 27th March 2007 and bottled 29th March 2018.

Drawn from cask #900135, which was specially selected by the Whisky Exchange and bottled for them by Signatory Vintage.

Signatory Vintage were established in 1988 by Andrew Symington and are one of Scotland's most prolific independent bottlers. Their offices and bottling facility are located next to Edradour distillery, which they have also owned since 2002.

Consequently, Symington's first ever Signatory Vintage bottling was also sherry casked Glenlivet, a 1968 vintage.

One of only 299 bottles.

A typical heavily-sherried expression from Glendronach, matured in Oloroso casks.

Glendronach distillery only re-opened in 2001 following its brief closure in 1996. This means that the versions of 18 year old expression bottled between 2013 and 2019 necessarily contained much older whisky than that. Pre-1996 distilled Glendronach like this also has a gentle peat influence due to its use in the first few hours in the malt kiln when the distillery still did its own in-house malting. This is no longer the case.

This 2018 release will contain 23 year old whisky.

Gentleman's Blend 1977 Gleann Mor 38 Year Old

A very unusual and exceptionally aged Blended malt from Gleann Mor. 

We've heard from people who know, this rich looking blended malt has been made with whiskies from some of Speyside's finest distilleries that are all at least 38 years old, epitomising the \"golden age\" of distilling in the 70s and even some from the 60s.

Glen Spey 12 Year Old Manager's Dram 2008

The Manager’s Dram series of whiskies were bottled exclusively for employees of what is now known as Diageo. These whiskies were selected by the respective distillery managers within Diageo malt distilling and bottled at natural cask strength.

This Glen Spey was bottled in August 2008.

A well-aged expression of Glenmorangie, the forerunner to the Extremely Rare 18 Year Old. 

Glenfarclas 1987 Quarter Cask

Quarter casks are quite unusual and there are few whiskies that have been matured wholly in these small casks, they are generally used for a brief finishing period than for an entire maturation period.  The surface area of wood for the spirit to penetrate is greater in smaller casks therefore using these quarter casks generally creates a whisky which may appear to have characteristics of whiskies older than it's age.  Very few whiskies are matured for this length of time in a quarter cask and Glenfarclas has offered us a number of examples over the years, most of which are very popular.

This particular release is from four different quarter casks, cask #3704 and #3707 were distilled on 3rd July 1987 and cask #3859 and #3860 were distilled on 11th September 1987.

Bottled after 19 years in April 2006, this is bottle 763 of 1,299.

Glenesk 5 Year Old 1980s / Buton Import

Imported to the Italian market who preferred the lighter flavours of younger whisky.
