Jameson has now reinvented the brand. The whiskey is from New Midleton distillery and is probably about 7-9 year old although there is no age stated.

With it becoming increasingly harder to talk about no-age statement whisky from mystery casks, Glenlivet have hit upon a novel idea... make the mystery part of the fun. 

The Glenlivet Code is the 2018 follow up to the Cipher, and cask details and tasting notes are set to be revealed at the end of the year.

Glenfarclas 175th Anniversary

To celebrate the distilleries licensing in 1836, (they are believed to have been illicit for a number of years before this) they have deconstructed the date to give \"A marriage of 18 different casks, 3 from each of the last 6 decades\". The oldest whisky is from as far back as 1952.

Glen Grant That Boutique-y Whisky Company Batch #1

The label depicts Major James Grant hunting crocodiles with dynamite. The hunting party includes Biawa Makalaga, the Major’s page boy and later his butler, who served him faithfully for saving his life as a child.

Glengoyne Teapot Dram Batch #4

An incredibly popular Glengoyne that is only available at the distillery, this is the latest batch of the Teapot Dram.

From Glengoyne's website; For almost 150 years, workers at Glengoyne were allowed three large drams while on duty throughout the day. It was the Brewers’ job to select a different cask each week from which to draw the drams. The workers would gather in the staff canteen at 9.00am, midday and 3.00pm to receive their share.

The agreed measure was for it to be “no less than the quantity indicated by the placement of three fingers upon the tumbler” which was usually calibrated by the man with the chubbiest digits. Served at full cask strength, some of the younger workers found it a bit of a struggle to finish. So instead of disposing with the leftovers, the drams were secreted in a copper teapot. The more seasoned imbibers would enjoy a little extra throughout the day – well, it beats a proper tea break.

Available only from Glengoyne Batch 004 as with the previous Teapot Drams, it has been lovingly recreated by men with a vague recollection of those days matured exclusively in first fill sherry casks.

Glenmorangie Astar 2008 Release 1 Litre

This is the original release of Astar from 2008. It was a follow up to the Glenmorangie Artisan cask and was the first bottle to be branded under Glenmorangie's desirable Private Collection Range.

Astar means journey in Gaelic. It refers to the journey of perfection that Glenmorangie is working to discover in their search for the perfect casks to mature whisky.
