Flora and Fauna Complete Collection 26 x 70cl 

The Flora and Fauna series of whiskies was originally created in the early 1990s by United Distillers Vintners (what would later become Diageo).  Originally this range had no name and it was not until the famous whisky writer Michael Jackson nicknamed it the 'Flora and Fauna' series due to the labels, did it stick.  The Flora and Fauna series, as offered in this lot, contains a total of 26 distillery expressions. Not all of these were released at the same time and many have now been discontinued, the last of which was to be the Mortlach 16 year old, perhaps the most loved of all of these whiskies.

Most of the bottles that were available with wooden boxes are presented so here; Strathmill, Auchriosk, Glen Spey and Glen Elgin were never available with these boxes.

A 30 year old blended-malt from one of Scotland's favourite brands. Amongst the malt whiskies blended, the box states Macallan and Highland Park feature therein.

Fuji-Gotemba Kirin 18 Year Old Single Malt

Distilled at Kirin Fuji Gotemba, this is an 18 year old single malt.

This is technically one of the world's largest distilleries producing both malt and grain, also having its own cooperage and bottling plant. 

Fettercairn 1989 Single Cask 15 Year Old​

A single cask bottling of Fettercairn. Distilled in October 1989 and bottled in June 2006.

This is cask #2224 and was finished in Spanish white oak sherry wood.

Four Roses Elliott's Select Barrel Strength 14 Year Old / 2016 Release

This barrel strength bourbon is the first release from Brent Elliott as the new Master Distiller.

Four Roses 6 Year Old 1970s

A 1970's bottling of Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey, matured for 6 years and exported for the international market.

The Four Roses brand was produced by Seagram's during the 1970's, and this would have been produced at their distillery in Louisville, KY.

The Four Roses brand is now produced by the Kirin Brewing Co, at Four Roses distillery, formerly Old Prentice.

Findlater's 25 Year Old Wedgwood Decanter​

A blend of rare, old, malt and grain matured to perfection in oak casks for many years.

Presented in a Wedgwood bone china decanter.

Famous Grouse Highland Decanter / 100 Years Wooden Box

This attractive decanter is gilded with 24 carat gold and depicts a 'Summer in the Highlands' by artist Stanley Todd.

This particular example was part of a limited 500 bottle release to celebrate the Centenary of the brand.

The Four Roses recipe used for this barrel was OESQ, meaning: \"Floral (rose petal & acacia), banana, refreshing, medium body.\"

In February 2002, Kirin Brewery Company of Japan purchased the Four Roses brand. Although this is an exclusive release for the Japanese market, this decision predates their purchase of the brand as this has been available there since 1992. 

80% of the liquid is over 8 years old, while the other 20% is 10 years or older.
