Balvenie Tun 1858 Batch #1

A marriage of 6 American Oak casks and 3 European Oak Sherry casks created the first limited edition Balvenie Tun 1858, for the Taiwanese market. A limited release of only 2,600 bottles this has rarely been seen at auction.

As with the Balvenie Tun 1401, these whiskies are hand-selected by Malt Master David Stewart. Nine traditional whisky casks and two sherry butts are combined and rested for several months in Tun 1858.  The vintages range from 1966 and 1975.

Bruichladdich 1966 36 Year Old Legacy #1

Bruichladdich released the Legacy series from 2002 until 2007, this is the first release was distilled in 1966 and bottled in 2002.

Limited to 1,500 bottles.

Bunnahabhain 1963 40 Year Old Feis Ile 2003

Bottled on the 20th May 2005 as Bunnabahhain's 2003 Feis Isle bottling. This was a combination of the last seven hogsheads of 1963 Bunnahabhain that were in existence, distilled on 11th May 1963. The cask yielded 743 bottles at a cask strength of 42.9%.

Rumoured to be an exceptional Glenmorangie, this legendary malt was matured in bourbon casks prior to being finished in Cote de Nuit Burgundy Grand Cru casks.

Balvenie Tun 1401 Batch #5

From the distillery website the Balvenie Tun 1401, Batch 5 is a skillful marriage of some of the rarest treasures from the distillery’s Warehouse 24 – an unrepeatable selection of spirits sourced from seven traditional whisky casks and two sherry butts, whose ages span a number of decades, and which have all been hand-selected by Malt Master David Stewart. The whisky was rested for several months in Tun 1401 – The Balvenie’s traditional oak marrying vessel – to create a single malt that enhances its already precious parts.

Batch 5 was released in the UK market and is now completely sold out.

Glen Moray 1960 26 Year Old

A lovely old Glen Moray, distilled in 1960 and bottled as a 26 year old in 1987, presented in the old fashioned wooden box.

Glenmorangie 1971 (The Culloden Bottle)

Released in 1996 to commemorate the 250th Anniversary of the Battle of Culloden the final battle of the Jacobites lead by Bonnie Prince Charlie.

Only 2,500 bottles were produced in associate with The National Museum of Scotland, this is bottle number 318.

Certificate of authenticity is included.

A lovely old Glen Moray, distilled in 1960 and bottled as a 26 year old in 1987, presented in the old fashioned wooden box.

Glenfiddich Straight Malt 8 Year Old (NAAFI Bottle) 1960s

A stunning piece of Glenfiddich history, this Straight Malt 8 Year Old was originally introduced in Scotland in 1961 before being rolled out globally in 1963.  

This bottle and box are in excellent condition for being over 40 years old, the stamp that runs diagonally across the age statement reads:

NAAFI STORES - FOR H.M. FORCES and would have only been available to purchase in this condition from an armed forces store.

Brechin 1970 Douglas Laing 33 Year Old

A Platinum selection bottling by Douglas Laing, distilled in 1970 and bottled in 2003.

This 33 year old from the unusual Brechin/North Port distillery was bottled from a single cask which yielded 479 bottles.

Glenmorangie Claret Wood Finish

The Glenmorangie Claret Wood Finish is a unique vatting of eight casks were filled between 1976 and 1979  and matured until 1989 when they were chosen to be combined and finished in Claret casks.

Brora 1981 Signatory Vintage 19 Year Old

Distilled on 31st March 1981, this release of two casks of Brora by Signatory Vintage on 29th January 2001 is limited to only 728 bottles.

Cask numbers #573 and 574 this is bottle 555.

Glenfiddich 30 Year Old 

Glenfiddich 30 year old presented in a stunning wooden box, this mult award winning whisky was matured in Spanish Oloroso and American Bourbon casks.

Glenfiddich Centenary Limited Edition Rolls Royce Bottling

A very rare limited bottling of Glenfiddich that was bottled on Christmas Day 1986 to celebrate 100 years of the distillery.

This particular presentation was designed for Rolls Royce Motor Group at Turnberry in 1989 which is 'strictly' limited to 180 bottles, this particullar bottle is number 163.

12,000 bottles of the standard Glenfiddich Centenary existed making this bottle substantially rarer and more desirable.

Oh and the whisky was distilled in June 1991 and bottled 18 years later after a partial maturation in Madeira casks, a single cask #038 produced 424 bottles.

Glen Albyn 1974 Black Adder 30 Year Old

We don't see many bottles from Glen Albyn, which closed in 1983.

This unusual single cask bottle was distilled on 19th April 1974 and bottled under the Raw Cask banner by Blackadder, 30 years later.

A limited edition release selected from three warehouses which collapsed on the 7th January 2010, due to adverse weather conditions (a rather heavy snow storm).

Bottled without an age statement, Glenfiddich Snow Phoenix has been highly acclaimed and includes Oloroso and American oak casks from warehouses ranging from 13 to 30 years old.

Please note there a few scrapes on the rear edges of the tin, ever so slightly bent - overall very good condition.

Distilled in July 1984 and bottled by Duncan Taylor in November 2006 from Cask #3046.

Bruichladdich 1992 XX Nostalgia Feis Ile 2012 (Signed and Including T-Shirt)

Available only at Bruichladdich distillery during Feis Ile 2012, this was distilled on 12th February 1992.

Four casks, 015, 031, 035 and 040 were combined into ex Angelo Gaja Barolo casks from Spress Vineyard rotation 07/006.

This is bottle number 0092 and is signed by Jim McEwan.

Banff 1980 Duncan Taylor 25 Year Old

From Banff distillery, distilled in November 1980 and bottled April 2006, matured in single cask #2912 for 25 years before bottling by the Huntly based independant bottler Duncan Taylor.

Bruichladdich Black Art 1989 21 Year Old (2nd Edition)

The second Black Art release, distilled in 1989 and bottled as a 21 year old.

Matured in wide variety of American and European oak wines casks.

A lovely old Connoisseurs Choice bottle from Gordon and Macphail.

Distilled in 1979 and bottled in 1993.

Bruichladdich Octomore 2.1 or Octomore 2_140

The second Octomore release from Bruichladdich, known as Octomore 2_140 or 2.1 was fortunate enough to have been peated to 140ppm and matured for 5 years. 

15,000 of Octomore 2.1 existed, this particular bottle is number 7423 of 15,000.

Bruichladdich Black Art 1989 22 Year Old (3rd Edition)

The second Black Art release, distilled in 1989 and bottled as a 22 year old.

Matured in wide variety of American and European oak wines casks, now an annual release within Bruichladdich's core range.

Glenmorangie Cognac Matured 14 Year Old

A very rare Glenmorangie, fully matured for 14 years in Merrain Oak previously used to matured Cognac.

Rather oddly this bottle does not carry a bottle, one of 850 bottles.

Please note this item is unboxed and the wax stamp has fallen off and is slightly broken.

Royal Brackla 1978 Rare Malt 20 Year old

The Rare Malt Selection is a historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

Royal Brackla was only released once within the Rare Malt series, distilled in 1978 and bottled in May 1998, as a 20 year old.

Glenlivet 1975 Coopers Choice 32 Year Old

A 1975 vintage Glenlivet bottled as a 32 year old by the unusual bottler Coopers Choice in 2007.
