Balvenie Tun 1858 Batch #1

A marriage of 6 American Oak casks and 3 European Oak Sherry casks created the first limited edition Balvenie Tun 1858, for the Taiwanese market. A limited release of only 2,600 bottles this has rarely been seen at auction.

As with the Balvenie Tun 1401, these whiskies are hand-selected by Malt Master David Stewart. Nine traditional whisky casks and two sherry butts are combined and rested for several months in Tun 1858.  The vintages range from 1966 and 1975.

Bruichladdich 1966 36 Year Old Legacy #1

Bruichladdich released the Legacy series from 2002 until 2007, this is the first release was distilled in 1966 and bottled in 2002.

Limited to 1,500 bottles.

Bunnahabhain 1963 40 Year Old Feis Ile 2003

Bottled on the 20th May 2005 as Bunnabahhain's 2003 Feis Isle bottling. This was a combination of the last seven hogsheads of 1963 Bunnahabhain that were in existence, distilled on 11th May 1963. The cask yielded 743 bottles at a cask strength of 42.9%.

The 9th release of Brora 30 year old from Diageo, bottled in 2010

Brora 25 Year Old 2008 Release

The 8th and youngest release of Brora from Diageo, released in 2008.

Balvenie Tun 1401 Batch #5

From the distillery website the Balvenie Tun 1401, Batch 5 is a skillful marriage of some of the rarest treasures from the distillery’s Warehouse 24 – an unrepeatable selection of spirits sourced from seven traditional whisky casks and two sherry butts, whose ages span a number of decades, and which have all been hand-selected by Malt Master David Stewart. The whisky was rested for several months in Tun 1401 – The Balvenie’s traditional oak marrying vessel – to create a single malt that enhances its already precious parts.

Batch 5 was released in the UK market and is now completely sold out.

Brechin 1970 Douglas Laing 33 Year Old

A Platinum selection bottling by Douglas Laing, distilled in 1970 and bottled in 2003.

This 33 year old from the unusual Brechin/North Port distillery was bottled from a single cask which yielded 479 bottles.

Bottle number 455 of 479.

Brora 1981 Signatory Vintage 19 Year Old

Distilled on 31st March 1981, this release of two casks of Brora by Signatory Vintage on 29th January 2001 is limited to only 728 bottles.

Cask numbers #573 and 574 this is bottle 555.

Bruichladdich 1991 Valinch The Temple of Drams

Harrison Ford is on the label....

Oh and the whisky was distilled in June 1991 and bottled 18 years later after a partial maturation in Madeira casks, a single cask #038 produced 424 bottles.

Bruichladdich 1992 XX Nostalgia Feis Ile 2012 (Signed and Including T-Shirt)

Available only at Bruichladdich distillery during Feis Ile 2012, this was distilled on 12th February 1992.

Four casks, 015, 031, 035 and 040 were combined into ex Angelo Gaja Barolo casks from Spress Vineyard rotation 07/006.

This is bottle number 0092 and is signed by Jim McEwan.

Banff 1980 Duncan Taylor 25 Year Old

From Banff distillery, distilled in November 1980 and bottled April 2006, matured in single cask #2912 for 25 years before bottling by the Huntly based independant bottler Duncan Taylor.

Bruichladdich Black Art 1989 21 Year Old (2nd Edition)

The second Black Art release, distilled in 1989 and bottled as a 21 year old.

Matured in wide variety of American and European oak wines casks.

Rosebank 1979 Gordon and Macphail

A lovely old Connoisseurs Choice bottle from Gordon and Macphail.

Distilled in 1979 and bottled in 1993.

Bruichladdich Octomore 2.1 or Octomore 2_140

The second Octomore release from Bruichladdich, known as Octomore 2_140 or 2.1 was fortunate enough to have been peated to 140ppm and matured for 5 years. 

15,000 of Octomore 2.1 existed, this particular bottle is number 7423 of 15,000.

Bruichladdich Black Art 1989 22 Year Old (3rd Edition)

The second Black Art release, distilled in 1989 and bottled as a 22 year old.

Matured in wide variety of American and European oak wines casks, now an annual release within Bruichladdich's core range.

Royal Brackla 1978 Rare Malt 20 Year old

The Rare Malt Selection is a historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

Royal Brackla was only released once within the Rare Malt series, distilled in 1978 and bottled in May 1998, as a 20 year old.

Royal Lochnagar Selected Reserve

The more original release of the Royal Lochnagar Select Reserve, including the elegnat wooden box and shield.

This version of the Royal Lochnagar Selected Reserve was replaced by the purple box release around 2007/2008.

Bruichladdich Laddie Five-0 Feis Ile 2013

Available only at Bruichladdich distillery during Feis Ile 2013 this limited release of 700 bottles is a tribue to Jim McEwan's 50 years of whisky making.

A combination of selected vintages to reflect '50 years of love, sweat and tears'.

Rosebank 1991 Gordon and Macphail 

A 2008 bottling of Rosebank by Gordon and Macphail, distilled in 1991 and presented in the newer Connoisseur's Choice packaging.

Balvenie Islay Cask 17 Year Old

Released in 2003, this was the very first of the Balvenie 17 year old expressions.

''In the making of The Balvenie Islay Cask, David Stewart selected Balvenie single malt which had matured in traditional oak casks for at least 17 years and transferred it into 94 casks which had previously held Islay single malt. After six months he felt the casks had imparted the desired delicate amount of peaty notes, typical of Islay, whilst retaining the distinctively honeyed character of The Balvenie.''

Rosebank 12 Year Old Flora and Fauna

This Flora and Fauna bottling of Rosebank has been discontinued for a number of years and was the last standard official release from Rosebank.

There have been super premium releases from Diageo since this bottle was discontinued.

Bruichladdich Links St Andrews Swilican Bridge 50cl

Commissioned for the International Pairs Competition at St Andrew’s, this release as part of the Bruichladdich Links collection. 

The Bruichladdich Links were created in association with one of the world’s leading golf artists Graeme. W Baxter. 

Bruichladdich 1992 Pedro Ximinez Sherry Edition

This is one of a number of Bruichladdich's released as experiments in which the same whisky is finished in different sherry casks for two years, in this case Pedro Ximinez from Fernando de Castilla.

Released in 2009 this 17 year old is bottle number 3,960 of 6,000.

Bruichladdich 18 Year Old 1st Edition

The stunning first edition from Bruichladdich, matured for 18 years in Bourbon casks then a short period in Willi Opitz Zweigelt Trockenbeeren Auslese red pinot wine casks. 

Bruichladdich X4 Futures

Distilled on 1st March 2006 and bottled in April 2011, barley type was Oxbridge and matured using bourbon casks.

Bruichladdich X4 whiskies are 'quadrupled' distilled reaching a massive 92%.

Bruichladdich 1998 Sherry Edition Oloroso

One of the first releases (alongside the Manzanilla edition) from Bruichladdich's compare and contrast experiements.

A 10 year old Bruichladdich matured exclusively in Oloroso sherry casks.

Bruichladdich 1993 Feis Ile 2009 Valinch

Distilled on the 22nd April1993 and bottled for Feis Ile 2009, this valinch bottling was only available at Bruichladdich distillery and is limied to 1,000 bottles.

Matured in sherry casks.

A distillery only bottle that was distilled in 1998 and bottled at cask strength in 2011.

Cask number 002 that was finished in Christian Drouin Calvados Cask .

The first release of Bruichladdich's 20 year old.

Initially released in 2002.

Bowmore 1992 Bordeaux Wine Cask 16 Year Old

A vintage cask strength Bowmore distilled in 1992 and bottled in 2008.

Initially matured in bourbon casks before being finished in Bordeaux wine casks.

Limited to 18,000 bottles.

Bruichladdich 16 Year Old Cuvee F

Bruichladdich matured initially in bourbon casks and then in wine barrels from one of the greatest wineries in the world: Chateau LaFleur.

This is part of Bruichladdich's series of first growth Bordeaux finished whiskies. This is the final bottle in the series, Cuvée F, limited to 12,000 bottles.
