Parker's Heritage Collection 24 Year Old Bottled in Bond Bourbon

The Parker's Heritage Collection from Heaven Hill is always highly anticipated, this is a 24 year old Kentucky Straight.  

This is the 10th edition of the Parker's Heritage Collection celebrates the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897, which required strict regulations to be adhered to in the production of whiskey at the time. These included the necessity of stating the site of distillation and bottling, the dates, and a strength of 100 US proof.

Heaven Hill are the supplier of the most number of bottled-in-bond products today, and this is one of those. The whiskey contains a dumping of bourbon casked in 1991 at the old Heaven Hill distillery in Bardstown, sadly lost in 1996.

Port Ellen 1983 Shinanoya 27 Years Old / The Chess

An independent Port Ellen bottled exclusively for Japanese specialist supermarket Shinanoya.

This release is part of The Chess series.

Distilled 1983 and bottled 2010 this malt has been matured in a Sherry Butt and is one of 240 bottles.

Hanyu 2000 Ichiro's Malt Single Cask #63 / LMDW

A fairly recent bottling of Hanyu, exclusively retailed by La Maison Du Whisky.

Distilled in 2000 and bottled in 2015, this impressively labelled bottling was matured in a single hogshead, cask #63.

The label features artwork entitled 'Double Lines' by Tay Bak Chiang, 2014.

Highland Park 1961 The Dragon

The Dragon independent bottlings of Highland Park are legendary, this vintage is from 1961.

These bottlings were produced by Robertson's of Kirkwall throughout the 1980's and 1990's.

Hanyu 2000 Single Cask #346 / LMDW

A single cask Hanyu distilled in 2000 and bottled exclusively for La Maison Du Whisky in Paris.

Aged for 12 years before a finishing period in Chibidaru Cask, which is similar to a quarter cask. 

Highland Park 1961 The Dragon

The Dragon independent bottlings of Highland Park are legendary, this vintage is from 1965.

These bottlings were produced by Robertson's of Kirkwall throughout the 1980's and 1990's.

The final vintage from the legendary Hanyu distillery in Japan.

This single cask was bottled in 2014 by Speciality Drinks.

Cask #921 was bottled at cask strength.

Port Ellen 1982 Douglas Laing 30 Year Old

A single cask bottling of the sorely-missed Port Ellen, distilled in April 1982, the penultimate year of production before the distillery was closed.

Bottled in November 2012 by Douglas Laing as part of their Old and Rare selection, back when it was still part of their portfolio.

Matured in a refill hogshead, this is 101 of 139 bottles. 

Port Ellen 1982 Silver Seal 20 Year Old

A slightly younger Port Ellen than you normally see from the long closed Islay legend. This was bottled for the Italian market by the Glasgow-based Silver Seal Whisky Company.

Distilled in 1982 and bottled in September 2003.

This is a 'First Bottling' of Port Ellen from the prestigious bottler Silver Seal Company.  

Distilled April 1982 and bottled in March 2001, this is bottle number 42. 

Port Mourant PM 1975 Velier 33 Year Old

A 33 year old rum from Uitvlugt distillery in Guyana.

Port Mourant distillery closed in the 1950s, and its still was transferred to Uitvlugt where the three barrels in this blend were filled. The Port Mourant still was then moved to Diamond in 2000 when Uitvlugt closed as well.

Distilled in 1975, the casks, marked PM, were selected by Luca Gargano of Velier in March 2008.

Port Ellen 1978 Rare Malt 20 Year Old / 60.90%

The Rare Malt Selection is an historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that was released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

One of the two Rare Malt releases by Diageo, this particular 20 year old was distilled in 1978 and bottled in October 1998.

The distillery has become a collector's favourite since its closure in 1983.

Kacho Fugetsu is the Japanese Kanji for Flowers, Birds, Breeze, and Lunar. This bottle is designed to embody the beauty of Japanese nature.

The Hibiki bottle always has  24 facets representing the 24 seasons of the Japanese lunar calendar. The bottle and box are then decorated by chrysanthemum flowers and Crane birds

A very well presented highly limited blend. 

The Hibiki 17 year old was discontinued in 2018.

Pappy Van Winkle 15 Year Old Family Reserve

The teenager of this family of world-renowned American whiskies, now in incredibly high demand!

Pappy Van Winkle Family Reserve 15 year old replaced the Old Rip Van Winkle of the same age in 2004. Van Winkle has been bottled at Buffalo Trace since 2002.

Bottled in 2012.

The teenager of this family of world-renowned American whiskies, now in incredibly high demand!

Pappy Van Winkle Family Reserve 15 year old replaced the Old Rip Van Winkle of the same age in 2004. Van Winkle has been bottled at Buffalo Trace since 2002.

Bottle code has been distorted by the seam in the glass making it unclear exactly when this was bottled but it was imported by Amathus as opposed to Hi-Spirits, so pre-2016.

Port Ellen 1970 Gordon and MacPhail 17 Year Old

A bottling of Port Ellen by Gordon and MacPhail, distilled in 1970. At 17 years old, this would have been released just a few years after the distillery fell silent in 1983.

Presented in the classic brown livery of the Connoisseurs Choice series.

Highland Park 1973 Dragon

A legendary Highland Park, distilled in 1973 and bottled by Robertson of Kirkwall.

The 1973 Dragon rarely appears at auction, these Robertson's of Kirkwall bottlings are very highly regarded.

The Dragon from which this whisky takes its name comes from the 12th century carving in Maes Howe neolithic tomb, Orkney.

An independent bottling of Port Ellen, distille din 1982, the penultimate year of operations at what is now the lost jewel in the Islay crown.

Distilled in November 1982 and bottled in September 2001 by Douglas Laing.

The Old Malt Cask series is one of the most established independent labels on the market. It was launched by Douglas Laing in 1998 and bottled by them until 2013 when the brand became part of the Hunter Laing portfolio instead.
