The Wild Turkey distillery, originally known as Boulevard, was built in 1869 in Tyrone, Kentucky. The name Wild Turkey was not used until 1941 when some, shared on a hunting trip, was referred to as \"some of that wild turkey whiskey\".

Bearing the term \"Pure Malt,\" which was acceptable at the time, but later releases of the Cardhu 12 year old featuring the phrase would eventually get Diageo into hot water with the Scotch Whisky Association.

Cardhu 12 Year Old Pure Malt

A 12 year old single malt from the home of Johnnie Walker.

There was a time when the term \"pure malt\" was used regularly, Diageo got into hot water when they began to mix the Cardhu 12 year old single malt with other Speyside malts. There were issues with the lack of change to the packaging and the Scotch Whisky Association felt that this may mislead customers. Read more here. 

This bottle is from that infamous 'pure malt' phase and is an interesting piece of whisky history.

Chauffe Coeur are more known for their Calvados than Rum.  However, this is an agricole Martinique dark rum, aged 7 years and produced in small batches.

Located in Thurso, this is the northernmost distillery on the UK mainland. Based around a long lost distillery that ended around 1850, this new Wolfburn reopened in 2013.

Bottled in August 2018 this was matured in first fill bourbon casks.

Wolfburn Northland Single Malt Scotch Whisky

Located in Thurso, Wofburn is the northernmost distillery on the UK mainland.

Northland is part of their core range, and is matured exclusively in American oak quarter casks.
