Glenlivet Alpha

The Glenlivet Alpha was a very limited release in 2013 of 3,350 bottles - 600 of which were in the UK.  At the time of release there was no mention of anything beyond the label which reads 'from The Glenlivet Distillery'.

Once all the bottles had been sold the information was released through online challenges and at the end of June 2013 a video of Master Distiller Alan Winchester reveals that the whisky was entirely matured in ex-Scotch whisky casks. 

Glenmorangie 1983 Natural Cask Strength 10 Year Old

A very interesting single cask Natural Cask Strength Glenmorangie.

Distilled on 10th November 1983 and bottled 10 years later exclusively from a first fill hogshead #7209.

Bottle number 246.

Glenrothes 1975

A small batch official release from Glenrothes.

Distilled in 1975 and bottled in 2006, this is one of the smallest releases from this popular Speyside distillery.

Only 3,708 bottles were produced. 

Uitvlugt 1980 'Port Morant' Bristol Classic Demerara Rum

 A 1980 demerara rum distilled at Uitvlugt distillery in Guyana on their Port Morant wooden double pot still, moved there after the distillery of that name's closure in the 1950s. 

The last stills of their kind in existence, these stills were relocated again to the Diamond when the Uitvlugt distillery closed in 2000. 

Bottled by Bristol Spirits in 2010. 

Glenfiddich 30 Year Old 

A more recent bottling of this highly sought after 30 year old Speyside whisky, matured in Oloroso sherry and bourbon casks.

Glenrothes 1985 Single Cask 32 Year Old #8377

The 'Spirit of Rothes' was distilled on 31st October 1985 and bottled on the 1st of November 2017 from cask #8377 at 32 years of age. 

Presented in an elegant wooden display case with a lower drawer containing art and information cards.

One of 200 bottles.

The 2017 edition of George T Stagg, part of the Buffalo Trace Antique Collection.

The Antique Collection celebrates historic US whiskey brands, figures and places. George T. Stagg was a 19th century distiller, and the Buffalo Trace distillery was named after him for most of the 20th century, becoming Ancient Age in 1983 and adopting its current title in 1999.

Released at their usual impressive strength 64.6%

The 2017 bottling is a 15 year old.

Glenmorangie Artein 15 Year Old 

Artein is Gaelic for 'stone', and this expression is said to be influenced by the rocky terroir of its provenance. 

Glenmorangie Artein was released into Glenmorangie's Private Edition series in 2011, and has been finished in Super Tuscan wine casks.

Distilled in February 1970 and bottled in 2009 at 39 years old

Glen Albyn 1981 Signatory Vintage 28 Year Old Cask Strength

This Signatory Vintage bottling of Glen Albyn was distilled on 16th January 1981 and bottled in November 2009.

Single Hogshead #51 yielded 173 bottles.

Glenmorangie 1975 Travel Retail Edition 75cl

A rare vintage Glenmoragie, that was produced exclusively for duty free sales only.

This particular bottling was produced in 2002, making it close to over 27 years old!

Glengoyne 10 Year Old Millennium Clock / with Branded Water Jug

The West Highland Way goes right through the distillery complex, with the production equipment being in the Highland region above the line, and the warehouses being in the Lowland region, below the line.

This is an older bottle of their 10 year old likely from the early 1990s for the export market.

The bottle also comes with a working millennium Grandfather clock which the distillery released to celebrate the year 2000 and a Glengoyne branded water jug.

The 'All Malt Unblended' 7 year old expression from Glenfarclas, bottled at some point in 1970s. Although more common in those days, Glenfarclas remains one of the now few family owned distilleries operating in Scotland.

A 25 year old Sherry butt matured Glendronach, part of their extensive and ever-popular single cask series.

Distilled in May 1992 and bottled in 2017.

Hillside / Glenesk 1971 Rare Malt 25 Year Old / 62%​

The Rare Malt Selection is a historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

Released within the Rare Malt Selection. Distilled in 1971 and bottled as a 25 year old at 62%. This is from the Glenesk distillery which was also known as Hillside, located in the north east Highlands the distillery closed in 1985 and then officially dismantled in 1997.

Distilled in October 1968 and bottled in 2010 by Gordon & MacPhail.

Glendullan 1978 Rare Malt 26 Year Old / 56.6%

The Rare Malt Selection is a historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

This Glendullan was distilled in 1978 and bottled as a 26 year old at 56.6%.
