Lochside 1981 Whisky Agency 29 Year Old / Perfect Dram

An independent bottling of Lochside, bottled for the Whisky Agency in Germany in conjunction with Three Rivers Tokyo.

Distilled in 1981 and matured for 29 years in an ex-fino butt.

Lakes Genesis / Bottle #034

The whisky has been matured first in Oloroso hogsheads and then finished in casks made of European and American oak. Finally, these whiskies were married together in Orange wine casks from the Andalusia region of Spain. In order to highlight the full spectrum of flavours that this has produced, the whisky has been bottled at cask strength.

The first 101 bottles of this new distillery's inaugural single malt are presented in a stunning glass decanter style bottle, packed neatly into a beautiful rosewood box. This is a whisky that does justice to its Scottish heritage, in a presentation that does justice to the craftsmanship of a region which is, undoubtedly, at the genesis of a true whisky heritage of its own.

Every bottle comes hand-numbered and hand-signed with a certificate of authenticity from The Lakes' master Blender, Dhavall Gandhi.

An independent bottling from closed Lowland distillery, Littlemill.

Distilled in 1989 and matured for 21 years in sherry wood.

Bottled for The Whisky Agency in Germany, in collaboration with Three Rivers bar in Tokyo.

One of 264 bottles.

Longrow Samaroli 'New Filling Malt' / Fragments of Scotland

A very young peated Springbank, referred to by Samaroli as a 'New Filling Malt / British Spirit'. When is reaches full maturity, the peated Springbank expression is known as Longrow, and was first distilled in 1973. The New Filling Malts series was Samaroli's answer to grappa, the popularity of which had always confused him. He believed these under 3 year old single malts were a superior alternative.

Samaroli is perhaps Italy's most revered independent bottler of Scotch whisky. With an impeccable taste in single cask whiskies, and an eye for aesthetics (if not English spelling at times!), he is regarded by many as a visionary. Many of his bottles now occupy deserved sports on the pantheon of whisky greats.

The Fragments of Scotland series was bottled in 1988, and each of them feature artworks depicting different elements of Scotland, mostly painted by Samaroli's friend, Agostino Perrnini. This one however is a Cesare Fernicola work.

Longmorn 1972 Blackadder 31 Year Old 75cl / US Import

A 31 year old Longmorn, bottled by Blackadder International for the US market.

Distilled in Speyside in 1978 and bottled in September 2003 from sherry butt #1101.

One of 388 bottles.

Laphroaig 1987 Vintage / LMDW 50th Anniversary

A 1987 single vintage Lahproaig, bottled at 19 years old for the 60th anniversary of La Maison du Whisky.

This was bottled from 6 casks, hand selected by Laphroaig Master Blender, Robert Hicks.

Littlemill 1988 Whisky Agency 23 Year Old / Three Rivers

An independnet bottling fro the closed Lowland distillery, Littlemill.

Distilledin 1988, this was matured in an ex-sherry hogshead before being bottled for The Whisky Agency in 2012, specially for Three Rivers bar in Tokyo. 

One of 162 bottles. 

Laphroaig 20 Year Old Double Cask 

A rare French travel retail exclusive Laphroaig, matured for 18 years in bourbon hogsheads before being finished for a further 2 years in Laphroaig quarter casks.

Specially selected by Laphroaig distillery manager John Campbell and Philippe Lanusse of Buy Paris Duty Free.

Lagavulin 1991 Cask Strength 24 Year Old / Feis Ile 2015

A triple matured Lagavulin that's spent time in bourbon wood, PX casks and oak puncheons. 

Distilled in 1991 and personally selected by Iain McArthur, a warehouseman at Lagavulin with over 40 years experience.

Bottled exclusively for the Feis Ile in 2015.

Linkwood 14 Year Old Sestante

A 14 year old Linkwood bottled and imported by Sestante for the Italian market in 1985.

The label features a picture of the distillery, foregrounded by its famous resident swans.

The Sestante import company was founded in the 1970s by Ernesto Mainardi, and he bottled his first single casks under the name in 1985. Alongside his contemporary, Silvano Samaroli, Mainardi pioneered giving his customers a choice of both standard 40-46% bottlings, and cask strength releases from the same casks. Along with his other brand, Silver Seal, Mainardi's bottlings are incredibly sought after.

Mainardi also bottled a 15 year old, this time at 40% ABV.

Lagavulin 1991 Cask Strength 24 Year Old / Feis Ile 2015

A triple matured Lagavulin that's spent time in bourbon wood, PX casks and oak puncheons. 

Distilled in 1991 and personally selected by Iain McArthur, a warehouseman at Lagavulin with over 40 years experience.

Bottled exclusively for the Feis Ile in 2015. 

Ledaig 1972 Alambic Classique 37 Year Old

An impressive 32 year old dram from Isle of Mull, matured exclusively in an Oloroso sherry butt. Ledaig is the name for the peated single malt produced at Tobermory, although it was actually the name first given to the ditillery when it re-opened in the same year this was distilled.

Distilled on the 21st of December 1972 and bottled on the 6th April 2010 from cask #10722. The cask was selected by Alamabic Classique, one of the largest wine and spirit importers in Germany.

Littlemill 1992 Whisky Agency 22 Year Old / TFWS

Distilled in 1992, this Littlemill was matured in a refill hogshead before being bottled by The Whisky Agency in 2014.

Specially selected for The Formosa Whisky Society in Taiwan, this is a fine example of a single cask release from the closed Lowland region distillery.

One of 196 bottles. 

La Favorite 1986 Cuvee Speciale de la Flibuste Rum

A special bottling for visitors to the La Favorite distillery on the island of Martinique.

Aged for 32 years in whisky and bourbon barrels.

This rhum carries the oldest age statement of any Caribbean Rhum (apparently!).

Distilled in 1986 from pure cane juice without any molasses.

Longmorn 1973 Premier Malts 29 Year Old

A wonderfully deep coloured Longmorn that has savoured everyone of its sherry casked 29 years.

Bottled by Malcolm Pride Ltd in their Premier Malts range.

Distilled in May 1973 and filled into sherry cask #3976.

Distilled in 1967 and bottled by Gordon and MacPhail in 2012.

La Bonne Intention 1985 Velier Demerara Rum

Named for the lost La Bonne Intention Estate distillery, this rum was distilled in 1985 at Uitvlugt Distillery. It was produced according to the original LBI recipe, and on the old still which moved to Uitvlugt when LBI ceased operations in 1959.

Bottled in Holland in 2000 for Velier, from four casks marked #LBI961 - #LBI965

Laphroaig 10 Year Old 90 Proof 1980s / Regal Brands Import, US

An older bottling of Laphroaig from the 1980s, imported by Regal Brands for the US market. 

Bottled at 90 US proof.

Images of Islay 1982 / Port Ellen Lighthouse

An unusual bottle of mystery single malt by Malts of Scotland, part of their 'Images of Islay' series. 

Distilled in 1982 and bottled in 2013 this is one of 212 bottles.

We don't know which of Islay's distilleries this was distilled at but what we do know is that it has a lovely picture of the famous light house in Port Ellen.

Laphroaig 1989 Vintage 17 Year Old / Feis Ile 2007

Released at Laphroaig distillery during the Feis Ile in 2007.

Distilled in December 1989 and bottled at 17 year old exclusively for the Friends of Laphroaig.

Only 4,000 bottles produced.

Lochside 1981 Whisky Agency 29 Year Old / Nectar of the Daily Drams

An independent release of Lochside 1981 from the Whisky Agency, bottled in 2010 as a joint bottling with The Nectar of the Daily Drams. 

Ladyburn - Rare Ayrshire 1975 Signatory Vintage 32 Year Old Cask Strength

Rare Ayrshire is a rare release from this unusual single malt distillery.  

Produced at Girvan distillery, Ladyburn/Rare Ayrshire was only operational for 9 years between 1966 and 1975.  

This was distilled on 21st February 1975 and then matured in bourbon barrel #556 until bottling on 22nd March 2007.

Linkwood 1939 Sestante 48 Year Old

These days you rarely see vintages as old as this.

This Linkwood was distilled in 1939 and and bottled in 1987, before being imported to the Italian market by Sestante.

Long Pond 1996 Plantation 22 Year Old Extreme No.3 2 x 70cl / HJC & ITP

The third instalment of Plantation's Extreme series which is composed of two different 'marks' from Long Pond Distillery that have undergone nearly identical maturation.

Distilled in 1996 on the John Dore pot still and matured for 21 years in Jamaica before being transfer to Ferrand casks and matured another year in France.

With a fire in July 2018 destroying all the wooden fermentation vessels as well as huge quantities of freshly distilled rum we expect Long Pond to become rarer on the market in coming years. 

The HJC is bottled at 56.2%, whereas the ITP is bottled at 54.8%.
