Rumoured to be one of the last releases in Suntory's single cask series.

Part of the Suntory Vintage Malt series that aimed to bottle a whiskies to be enjoyed by those with sentimental attachments to the years in which they were distilled.

This was bottled in 2005.

Single cask Yamazaki are very rare and hard to find these days, particularly those with such a dark rich colour.

A single cask distilled in Japan in 1995 and matured in a single sherry butt #5J3020 until bottled exclusively for La Maison Du Whisky in 2010.

Yamazaki Sherry Cask 2011

Matured in Oloroso sherry casks for between 12 and 15 years , this whisky won 'Best Whisky in the World' according to Jim Murray and his Whisky Bible in the year it was released.

Approx 16,000 bottles were released.

Weller's Antique Reserve 10 Year Old Original Barrel Proof 1970s / Stitzel-Weller

A fantastic old bottling of Weller's Antique Reserve, aged 10 years and bottled at a barrel proof of 110.

Distilled and then bottled in the early 1970s at the legendary Stizel-Weller distillery, and given the age statement, likely from stock produced by Julian 'Pappy' Van Winkle I before his death in the mid-1960s. The distillery was then run by his son, Julian Van Winkle II until its sale in 1972. The leaflet in the box has a note signed off by Julian II as company president, meaning this bottle predates the sale.

Presented in an ornate felt lined box with two glasses.

Willett Family Estate 22 Year Old Single Barrel Bourbon #C20D / Wheated

A wheated Willett, released on the 9th October 2015 at the Willet gift shop, this well-aged Bourbon was matured in barrel #C7D.

The Willett Family Reserve is bottled by Kentucky Bourbon Distillers using barrels sourced from other companies. They have stock from nearly every Kentucky distillery in their warehouses, with their wheated bourbon of this age most likely coming from Bernheim.

An 18 year old malt from the oldest whisky distillery in Japan. In order to create the expression, Suntory’s chief blender Shinji Fukuyo tasted a hundreds of mizunara-matured whiskies and selected casks with varying ages.

Mizunara oak is incredibly rare.

Yamazaki Sherry Cask 2016

This Yamazaki was matured in Oloroso sherry casks, and is composed of whisky aged up to 25 years old, all vatted together by chief blender Shinji Fukuyo.

This bottling is the follow up to the famous 2013 release which won 'Best Whisky in the World' according to Jim Murray and his Whisky Bible.

5000 bottles were produced which is less than third of the quantity of the previous release of Yamazaki Sherry Cask, of which there were approximately 16,000 bottles.

Bottle number 60 of only 146 drawn from a single hogshead, matured in the Ohmi Aging Cellar at Suntory's flagship distillery.

Uniting Nations 40 Year Old The Essence of Karuizawa / Ichiro Akuto Blended Malt

Karuizawa produced outstanding whiskies, many of which have received international acclaim. They have released almost 300 single casks which are becoming increasingly rarer and rarer as demand soars.

This limited bottling was blended by Ichiro Akuto, this is a combination of a 40 year old Scottish malt and 45 year old Karuizawa.

Yamazaki Mizunara Cask 2013

Yamazaki has been thrust into the spotlight after their Sherry Cask release of 2013 received the title of Best Whisky in the World title from Jim Murray.  

They have released several other limited annual editions including this Mizunara matured bottling.    

Mizunara (Japanese Oak) is famous for imparting it's own characteristics onto the whisky stored within them such as sandalwood and other notes.

A single cask Yoichi, Nikka Whisky's flagship distillery.

Distilled on 2nd June 1986 and bottled in on the 14th July 2008 as a 15 Year Old for La Maison Du Whisky.

A Spanish oak matured single malt, produced at their flagship Yamazaki distillery. Distilled in 2009 and bottled at a higher strength of 56%.

William Larue Weller 2009 Release

Released within the famous and eagerly awaited Buffalo Trace Antique Selection. 

William Larue Weller was a 19th century whiskey rectifier and distiller, who's W.L. Weller and Sons company was run by the legendary Julian 'Pappy' Van Winkle. The Weller and Van Winkle brands are both produced at Buffalo Trace distillery nowadays, distilled to very similar old Stitzel-Weller recipes, and are among the most sought after bourbons on the market.

The 2009 release is 11 years old and bottled at 67.4%, this bottle received a 97 point score from Buffalo Trace enthusiast Jim Murray. 

W.G. O'Doherty Matured Old Irish Whiskey circa 1880s

An incredible old bottle of Irish whiskey bottled by W.G. O'Doherty Ltd. Tea, Wine and Spirit Merchant of Bishop Street, Londonderry which was established in 1871 as a grocery and public house. It's thought that this bottle would have been produced when bottling took place below the shop between 1873 and 1883. More information can be found out about the company by clicking the following links:
