Littlemill 1984 Signatory Vintage 12 Year Old

An older Signatory Vintage bottling of Littlemill, distilled in June 1984 and bottled in October 1996 from two casks, #2440 and #2441.

The 2012 Distillers Edition release of Lagavulin from Diageo, distilled in 1996 and finished in Pedro Ximenez casks.

Littlemill 1992 Hart Brothers 21 Year Old

An independent bottling of Littlemill from Hart Brothers.

The Hart Brothers bottling company was founded in 1964 when Iain and Donald Hart incorporated as a wine and spirit merchant and Scotch whisky blenders. They have been bottling independent single malts since the 1970s.

Distilled in February 1992 and aged in a first fill port pipe, this was bottled in November 2013.

Littlemill distillery has been closed since the early 1990s and was demolished in 1996.

Lochside 1987 A.D. Rattray 21 Year Old

An independent bottling from closed Highland distillery, Lochside.

Re-established in 2002, the A.D. Rattray company is headed up by Stanley Walker Morrison, grandson of the Stanley P. Morrison who owned Bowmore distillery. The A.D. Rattray company came into the family through the marriage of Stanley to the daughter of William Walker, who's William Walker & Co had acquired the firm in 1920. When Beam Suntory acquired full ownership of the Morrison Bowmore in 1994, the family revived the A.D. Rattray name in order to find a new avenue back into the whisky trade. This is part of their Cask Collection range, which was launched in 2004.

Distilled in 1987 and bottled in November 2008 from single refill hogshead #20621.

One of 180 bottles.

Lochside 1991 Gordon and MacPhail Reserve

An independent Lochside from Gordon and MacPhail, distilled in 1991.

Bottled in 2009 from single cask #15216 as part of the Reserve range.

Ledaig 2005 Berry Brothers and Rudd

An independent bottling of Ledaig, the peated single malt produced at Tobermory distillery on the Isle of Mull.

Distilled in 2005 and bottled in 2010 by Berry Brothers and Rudd from sherry butt #900008.

Berry Brothers and Rudd is a firm steeped in history. They were established in the 17th century, and received a Royal Warrant from King Edward VII in 1903. The company has been bottling single malt whisky from almost as early as that, and produced their first ever blend, Cutty Sark, in 1923.

North Port-Brechin 1976 First Cask 24 Year Old

This is bottled by Direct Wines as part of their extensive First Cask collection. 

Distilled on the 27th of December 1976 at the closed Highland distillery of North Port and matured in cask #3908.

North British 1962 Thomas Fantasy 50 Year Old

This single grain release was bottled from a single bourbon barrel for Thomas Fantasy.

Distilled in 1962 in Edinburgh at the North British distillery, this was bottled at 50 years old in 2013.

One of 4 bottles filled.

The angels have taken their share of this one leaving it at 36.2% and thus a Single Grain Spirit as opposed to whisky which must be over 40% Alcohol. 

Littlemill 1990 Signatory Vintage 17 Year Old

A Signatory Vintage bottling of Littlemill, the closed Lowland distillery.

Signatory Vintage were established in 1988 by Andrew Symington and are one of Scotland's most prolific independent bottlers. Their offices and bottling facility are located next to Edradour distillery, which they have also owned since 2002.

Distilled on 26th October 1990 and bottled on 9th April 2008 from three hogsheads, #3002, #3003 and #3004.

This is bottle number 214 of 1197.

Laphroaig 1966 Signatory Vintage 31 Year Old 5cl

A spectacular Laphroaig, distilled on 4th April 1966 and bottled on 15th May 1997 after maturing in cask #1094.

Bottle number 69 of 250 miniatures produced.

Linkwood 1974 First Cask 27 Year Old

A 1974 vintage Linkwood bottled within the First Cask range of whiskies from Direct Wines.

Distilled on the 31st May 1974 and bottled at 27 years of age.

Longmorn 1990 SMWS 27 Year Old 7.185

''Sweet, smooth, s'more.'

A 1990 vintage single cask bottling of Longmorn from the Scotch Malt Whisky Society.

Matured for 27 years in a refill ex-bourbon hogshead.

One of 150 bottles.

An unusual release of Nikka's Tsuru. As well as a different shaped glass decanter, this version does not carry an age statement.

Released annually to coincide with Lagavulin’s sponsorship of the Islay Jazz Festival, this particular release had production issues and didn't appear until long after the Festival had finished. 

Produced from hand selected refill American oak casks and European oak bodega casks.

Laphroaig 15 Year Old

A stunning old bottle of Laphroaig, bottled in the mid to late 1990s, after the award of the Royal Warrant in 1994.

This particular bottling was said to be Prince Charles' favourite! 

Linkwood 12 Year Old Manager's Dram 1999

The Manager’s Dram series of whiskies were bottled exclusively for employees of what is now known as Diageo.  These whiskies were selected by the respective distillery managers within Diageo malt distilling and bottled at natural cask strength.

A 12 year old Linkwood, matured in refill sherry casks chosen by distillery manager Harry Fox bottled on 1st December 1999.

Bottled at 55% and limited to only 3,600 bottles.

Nikka Taketsuru Fortune ‘80

This is a Taketsuru blend from the 1980s, and was discontinued in the subsequent decade, becoming a real rarity now.

Taketsuru is a blend from Nikka so no doubt contains both Miyagikyo and Yoichi, the blend takes its name from Nikka founder Masataka Taketsuru.

Nikka Kingsland Pot Still Decanter​

An attractive pot still decanter containing the famous Japanese blended whisky.

Designed in homage to eponymous Kingsland, the first pot still used by Nikka.

An independent bottling of closed Lowland distillery, Littlemill.

Distilled in 1992 and then matured for 21 years until bottling in 2013 for The Nectar in Belgium.

They specially selected the whisky for TASTTOE and The Whisky Agency.

Nikka Taketsuru Ceramic Decanter

Masataka Taketsuru is known as the grand father of the Japanese whisky industry. He travelled to Scotland to study Organic Chemistry at University of Glasgow during the summer of 1919. Later, he began working in Hazelburn before it was absorbed by Springbank. When he returned to Japan he helped to establish the first Japanese Whisky Distillery becoming the founder of Nikka.

This no-age statement blend is bottled in an elegant white ceramic decanter.

Bottled in 2011 from refill bourbon barres.

Littlemill 1992 Whisky Agency 20 Year Old / Liquid Library

Distilled in 1992, this Littlemill was matured in a bourbon hogshead before being bottled by The Whisky Agency in 2012.

Part of their Liquid Library range, this is a fine example of a single cask release from the closed Lowland region distillery.

Released annually to coincide with Lagavulin’s sponsorship of the Islay Jazz Festival. 

The 2016 release was created from a blend of Refill American Oak and First Fill Ex-Bourbon American Oak casks.

'Transcendental bliss'

An independent bottling of Laphroaig from the scotch Malt Whisky Society.

Distilled in 1998 and matured for 19 years in a combination of ex-bourbon wood and and a second fill custom cask hogshead, whatever that is.

One of only 140 bottles.

Linkwood 1996 SMWS 20 Year Old 39.139

An 20 year old Linkwood, bottled by the Scotch malt Whisky Society under the name 'A most luscious remedy'

Distilled on 1st July 1996, matured for 20 years in a 1st fill Pedro Ximenez Butt and bottled at cask strength.

One of 588 bottles.
