Glenfiddich 50 Year Old

This famous bottling of Glenfiddich was bottled in 1991 and limited to an incredible 500 bottles, in the early 1990s one of these bottles was auctioned for charity and officially became the most expensive bottle of whisky ever sold at auction. selling for 99,999,99 Lira in an Italian charity auction.

The release was restricted to only nine casks laid down originally in the 1930s, one cask was laid down for each of William Grant's nine children, who helped to build Glenfiddich distillery in the 1880s.  After laying undisturbed, these nine casks were bottled on 26th July 1991 and presented in a hand made oak box with a brass plaque.

Each bottle was signed by Alexander Grant Gordon the former Chairman and great grandson of the companies founder and is presented with a certificate and an appointment as a Freeman of Glenfiddich distillery.

Glenfarclas 1953 Single Cask 58 Year Old

So few whiskies of this age are available these days, even Glenfarclas has no whisky remaining older than 1953. The whisky was distilled on 20th November 1953 and bottled on 13th February 2012, matured exclusively in a first fill sherry butt #1674.

A panel comprising of Serge Valentin, a whisky connoisseur and a key member of the internationally renowned Malt Maniacs, Ben Ellefsen, Sales Director for Master of Malt, Michał Kowalski of Wealth Solutions and George Grant himself, unanimously made the selection from the remaining 4 casks distilled in 1953 and cask #1674 was selected to be bottled.

This single cask bottling was released at 58 years old and sold exclusively through the Wealth Solutions, Poland.

Glenfarclas 50 Year Old / John Grant's Birth Bicentenary

A incredibly special bottle of Glenfarclas, selected by George Grant to celebrate the bi-centenary of the distillery's founder, and his great, great, great, great Grandfather, John Grant.

Only 110 were produced of this 50 Year Old, which comes in an attractive presentation box with certificate / scroll.

Glenury Royal 1953 50 Year Old

There are very few official bottling of this rare highland malt, which closed its doors for the last time in 1985.

This spectacular sherried 1953 vintage Glenury was bottled as a 50 Year old.

Glenfiddich 30 Year Old Silver Stag's Head Decanter

An 1980s bottling of Glenfiddich 30 Year Old in a crystal decanter. There is also a stopper with a hallmarked solid silver stags head. 

A very elegant and ornate presentation that was ahead of its time.

Yamazaki 25 Year Old

As we all know Yamazaki has ascended into one of the most desirable and sought after whiskies in the world.

This 25 year old is matured exclusively in the finest Oloroso sherry casks and presented in a very elegant, simple box.

5000 bottles were produced which is less than third of the quantity of the previous release of Yamazaki Sherry Cask, of which there were approximately 16,000 bottles.

Distilled in 1965 matured in cask # 10837.

Parker's Heritage Collection 27 Year Old Bourbon 75cl 

The Heritage Collection from Parker's is always highly anticipated and this was the second edition. 

Created in memory of Parker Beam, a part of the Beam family who worked in the Bourbon industry for over 50 years.

The eleventh of the incredibly popular Port Ellen annual releases.  Distilled in 1979 and bottled 32 years later in 2011, bottled at cask strength and limited to 2,988 bottles, this is bottle 1,042.

Port Ellen is the lost jewel in the Islay crown. Closure in 1983 has enabled this distillery to receive a near mythical amount of love and respect. As stocks get thinner on the ground, these bottles become rarer and rarer.

Yamazaki 1992 Single Cask #ZS 70061

Single cask Yamazaki's are very rare and hard to find these days and we are extremely fortunate to have a number of these in our auction this month.

This single cask was distilled on 1992 and matured in a single sherry butt #ZS 70061until bottling in 2007.

Distilled on 25th of Febuary 1971 and bottled in June 2012, this was fully matured in cask number 1247 which was a Pedro Ximinez Sherry Pucheon.

Port Ellen 1979 30 Year Old 9th Release

The ninth of the incredibly popular Port Ellen annual releases.  Distilled in 1979 and bottled 30 years later in 2009, bottled at cask strength and limited to 5,916 bottles, this is bottle 0071.

This is bottle 2,014 of only 3000 bottles. 

Glenfiddich 30 Year Old Silver Stag's Head Decanter

A Single Cask Glenfiddich 30 Year Old with crystal decanter and stopper resembling the famous Glenfiddich Stag in a Glenfiddich branded box.

The decanter and Stag's head are part of the 1980s original release, The Glenfiddich 30 Year Old if from within the last 10 years, Bottle No 0107 drawn from Cask 00029.

Yamazaki 1999 Single Cask #DU65300 

Single cask Yamazaki's are very rare and hard to find these days and we are extremely fortunate to have a number of these in our auction this month.

This single cask was distilled on 1999 and matured in a single sherry butt #DU65300 until bottling in 2011.

The Chinese character on the label we believe means 'Hero', 40th Hero.

Distilled on 25th of Febuary 1971 and bottled in June 2010, this was fully matured in cask number 489 which was a Oloroso Sherry butt.

This bourbon has become quite legendary, particularly after the theft of 65 X 3 bottle cases in 2013.

This 1962 bottled was bottled on the 27th of May 2011 from sherry hogshead #2639 yielding 129 bottles.

Glenlochy 1969 Rare Malt 26 Year Old - B297 

A very rare bottling of Glenlochy from within the Rare Malts Selection and one of the rare bottles from the series.

The Rare Malt Selection is a historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

Distilled in 1969 and bottled as a 26 year old,this is bottle number 0,447.

Glendronach 1955 Gordon and Macphail 23 Year Old

What a beauty!  As old a Glendronach as you can find.  This Gordon and Macphail bottling was distilled in 1955 and bottled 23 years later.
