Flora and Fauna Collection 23 of 26 Bottles

The Flora and Fauna series of whiskies was originally created in the early 1990s by United Distillers Vintners (what would later become Diageo).  Originally this range had no name and it was not until the famous whisky writer Michael Jackson nicknamed it the 'Flora and Fauna' series due to the labels, did it stick.  The Flora and Fauna series, as offered in this lot, contains a total of 26 distillery expressions. Not all of these were released at the same time and many have now been discontinued, the last of which was to be the Mortlach 16 year old, perhaps the most loved of all of these whiskies.

This is close to a complete set of Flora and Fauna bottlings many of which are presented in the original wooden boxes! The three missing to complete the set are are Speyburn, Aberfeldy and Royal Brackla.

Old Elgin 50 Year Old

Distilled in the Winter of 1940 and matured for 50 years prior to being bottled in \"The Whisky Capital of Scotland\" Elgin. 

This is a 50 year old Speyside single malt, Gordon and MacPhail have bottled Macallan, Glenlivet and Mortlach from this era. This may be one of them but it may not be.

Please note the low fill level and that this bottle has a fragile wax seal. 

Talisker 1969 Gordon and Macphail

An absolutely stunning bottle of Talisker, distilled in 1969 and bottled at some point in the late 1970s by Gordon and Macphail.

Tobermory 1972 Oloroso Sherry Finish 32 Year Old

If you love heavily sherried whiskies this is certainly up your street, it's big, bold and rich!

Distilled at Tobermory, the only distillery on the Isle of Mull in 1972 and bottled on 18th May 2005.  The whisky was finished in Oloroso sherry casks.

Talisker 30 Year Old 2012 Release

Released in 2012, this is a 30 year old Talisker limited to just 3186 bottles.

This is bottle number 2193 of 3714.

Oban 21 Year Old / US Import 75cl

A 21 Year Old limited edition Oban, bottled as part of Diageo's 2013 Special Releases. Matured using rejuvenated American oak and second-fill Bodega casks, only 2,860 bottles were released.

Tamdhu 1966 Gordon and Macphail

Although Tamdhu was recently closed and reopened for the third time, this Speyside whisky has a delicious flavour profile. 

This was distilled in 1966 and then bottled in 2006. 

Talisker 17 Year Old Manager's Dram 2011

The Manager’s Dram series of whiskies were bottled exclusively for employees of what is now known as Diageo.  These whiskies were selected by the respective distillery managers within Diageo malt distilling and bottled at natural cask strength.

Tmah Trinidad 1991 Cadenhead's 21 Year Old

A rum produced from a continuous still then aged for 21 years. 

Bonded in 1991 and bottled April 2013. 

Talisker 25 Year Old 2008 Release

Released within Diageo's 'Superpremium' editions, Talisker 25 year old has been bottled a number of times, this particular bottle is from the 2008 release.

Released within Diageo's 'Superpremium' editions, Talisker 25 year old has been bottled a number of times, this particular bottle is from the 2004 release.

Bottle number 12,059 of 21,000 bottles. 

Talisker 25 Year Old 2005 Release

A US bottling of Talisker 25 year old released as part of Diageo's super premium selection in 2005.

Matured in refill casks and limited to 15,600 bottles this is bottle number 2324.

Old Pulteney Millennium Single Cask 15 Year Old

Old Pulteney released a number of Millennium single casks. 

This is cask number 1305, whisky distilled in 1982 and bottled at 15 years old.

Tamnavulin 1970 Stillman's Dram

Distilled in June 1970 and bottled in August 1986. 

Bottle number 1000 of 1224. 

Tomintoul-Glenlivet 18 Year Old

A Tomintoul distilled in 1967, then imported to Ireland where it was bottled in 1985. 

Old Pulteney 1990 Vintage

A small batch Old Pulteney, distilled in 1990 and matured in American ex-bourbon casks and Spanish ex-sherry casks which previously held heavily peated whisky.

Talisker 18 Year Old

 An award winning power house from the only distillery on the Isle of Skye. With Diageo releasing more NAS Taliskers this may not be around forever.

Tobermory 200th Anniversary Limited Edition

Tobemory celebrated its bi-centenary in 1998 and this bottle was released to commemorate the event.

Distilled in 1990 and bottled in October 2011 from a single bourbon barrel.

Originally only available at the Chivas distilleries this cask strength bottle of Tormore was distilled in 1998 and bottled in 2014 at 15 years old.

Discontinued prior to Ian Macleod's take over of the distillery, the 18 year old Tamdhu was very popular - a great example of a richer speyside style.
