This was bottled by Lars-Goran Wiebers, aka \"Jack.\" He is the proprietor of the renowned Jack Wiebers Whisky World retailer in Germany, established in 1996. Since then has released a number of respected independent bottlings under labels such as the Old Train Line, Gentle Noses, The Cross Hill and Auld Distillers Alliance.

The Gentle Noses label was introduced in 2004 and is based on the story of rival families in China called Lee and Foo, who apparently quarelled over who has the better nose. The series pits Jack Wiebers fictional Jack Lee against Jumping Foo in a serie of competitions to sniff out the finest whisky. Each bottle is labelled over the capsule as the selection of one or the other.

This Port Ellen was the second release. A 1982 vintage, it was bottled from a very dark sherry cask in 2005.

This is a vintage Highland Park, bottled from hogshead #9944. The Animals series was bottled between 1989 and 1990, however this is one of three Japanese exclusives added in 2001.

Highland Park was built by David Robertson all the way back in 1798. The distillery's relationship with blenders, Robertson & Baxter, saw it acquired by Highland Distillers in 1937, who were subsequently bought by Edrington in 1999, who run it today. The modern Highland Park single malt brand was first officially bottled in the 1970s, with the release of an 8 year old age statement, but distillery bottlings first appeared around the 1950s. The look of the brand has changed many times over the years, but its cult following and popularity has never diminished. This 15 year old was distilled in 1974 and is part of a Sestante series bottled in 1990 for the Antica Casa Marchesi Spinola.

Alongside his contemporary, Silvano Samaroli, Mainardi pioneered giving his customers a choice of both standard 40-46% bottlings, and cask strength releases from the same casks. Samaroli is perhaps Italy's most revered independent bottler of Scotch whisky. With an impeccable taste in single cask whiskies, and an eye for aesthetics (if not English spelling at times!), he is regarded by many as a visionary. Coilltean was originally a label devised by Samaroli to give more variety to his portfolio after over-purchasing casks of Glen Garioch. Hampden 1992 Silvano's Collection

The Silvano’s Collection label is produced by Masam, an independent bottling company run by Maryse Accorsi Samaroli, the wife of the legendary Silvano Samaroli. The Samaroli firm has been run by Antonio Bleve since 2008, however casks from Silvano's private collection have also been bottled under the Singles of Silvano Samaroli banner. These were initially supervised by the man himself, but since his death in 2017, the tradition has been lovingly continued by his wife.

This Hampden rum is one of 270 bottles filled in 2019 from cask #8.

The Hampden Estate was founded in 1753 by a Scotsman called Archibald Sterling, in the Queen of Spain valley of Jamaica’s Trelawny parish. For 250 years it remained family owned, selling rum to third-party blenders and independent bottlers. Mismanagement however meant that by 2003 it was in financial trouble, with the Jamaican government stepping in to assume ownership and some of its debt in order to preserve the jobs of its employees. They sold it in 2009 to the Hussey family’s Everglades Farms, who as first point of business began laying down the casks that would eventually become the first Hampden Estate labelled official bottling of the distillery’s rum, launched in collaboration with Velier in 2018. Famed for its heavy, ester-driven style, Hampden is joined by Worthy Park as the only two Jamaican distilleries that produce exclusively pure single rums (using only pot stills). It currently has four pot stills: two from Forsyths in Scotland, one from Vendome in Kentucky, and another from T&T Engineering in South Africa.

Moon Import was founded by Pepi Mongiardino in 1980 and he bottled his first whisky in 1982. Always beautifully labelled, Pepi is acclaimed for designing the packaging for Moon Import bottles himself, often using images found in old books. These iconic designs, coupled with the quality of the liquid saw Moon Import steadily grow in popularity. The Gentle Noses label was introduced in 2004 and is based on the story of rival families in China called Lee and Foo, who apparently quarelled over who has the better nose. The series pits Jack Wiebers fictional Jack Lee against Jumping Foo in a serie of competitions to sniff out the finest whisky. Each bottle is labelled over the capsule as the selection of one or the other.

This Port Dundas is part five of the Kick Up a Row in Germania (Stunk in Germanien) series. A 1978 vintage, it was bottled from a bourbon cask in 2013.

Port Mourant 2003 Silvano's Collection

This is a 2003 vintage Port Mourant rum from Diamond.

Established around 1670, the Diamond Estate is the only remaining rum distiller in Guyana. Located on the east bank of the Demerara river, the distillery is operated by Demerara Distillers Ltd (DDL), the company created by the government in Guyana as it attempted to consolidate the nation’s rum production. This began in 1974 and culminated with the closure of Uitvlugt in 1999, which saw Guyana’s “Heritage Stills” moved from there to Diamond. This was distilled on the Port Mourant double wooden pot still. It is constructed from Greenheart wood, which is native to Guyana and is mostly used in boat-building due to its ability to remain strong while constantly wet. The wood is also well suited to distilling, stripping spirit of sulphites in the same manner that copper does. The Port Mourant and the Versailles single wooden pot still are the last of their kind still in operation. The Port Mourant still is so-called as it started life at the distillery of the same name, established in 1732. Its configuration produces a typically heavy bodied and oily distillate, generally credited with being one of the key components in the old Royal Navy blend. Port Mourant rums remain high in demand to this day. It was moved to Uitvlugt after the Port Mourant distillery closed in the 1950s.

Port Charlotte 2007 A Dream of Scotland 10 Year Old 50cl / LaddieSnugPorz

Port Charlotte is a heavily peated single malt produced at Bruichladdich distillery, introduced after Murray McDavid purchased the distillery 2001. The brand is named after a historic distillery in the eponymous neighbouring town. Having been traditionally an un-peated single malt due to the needs of its former owners for their blends, Murray McDavid were quick to diversify the Bruichladdich portfolio, also introducing the even peatier Lochindaal and Octomore.

This cask strength single malt is part of the A Dream of Scotland series, bottled for Bruhler Whiskyhaus, a spirits retailer in Germany.

Port Charlotte is a heavily peated single malt produced at Bruichladdich distillery, introduced after Murray McDavid purchased the distillery 2001. The brand is named after a historic distillery in the eponymous neighbouring town. Having been traditionally an un-peated single malt due to the needs of its former owners for their blends, Murray McDavid were quick to diversify the Bruichladdich portfolio, also introducing the even peatier Lochindaal and Octomore.

This cask strength single malt is part of the A Dream of Scotland series, bottled for Bruhler Whiskyhaus, a spirits retailer in Germany.

Distilled in 2007, this was aged in a Chateau Haut Brion wine cask and bottled for LaddieSnugPorz.

This bottle is being sold from the Pat's Whisk(e)y private collection which, numbering in excess of 9,000 bottles and over 2,000 miniatures, is the single largest collection of whisky ever to be brought to auction. Port Dundas 1989 Jack Wiebers 24 Year Old World of Orchids

This was bottled by Lars-Goran Wiebers, aka \"Jack.\" He is the proprietor of the renowned Jack Wiebers Whisky World retailer in Germany, established in 1996. Since then has released a number of respected independent bottlings under labels such as the Old Train Line, Gentle Noses, The Cross Hill and Auld Distillers Alliance.

Produced for Hauptstross100 in Switzerland, the World of Orchids series all feature artwork created by Jack himself.

Built in 1811 at the highest point of the city of Glasgow, Port Dundas grain distillery was a true giant of its day. It became a founding member of DCL in 1877, and over the years has been key component in many of its blends, including Johnnie Walker and White Horse. By the end of the 19th century it was the largest distillery in Scotland, armed with three Coffey and five pot stills, the giant was producing well over two million gallons of spirit a year. Having survived two fires in the early 20th century, the distillery’s story came to an end in 2010 when Diageo the modern iteration of DCL, closed it down to consolidate its grain production at the newly expanded Cameronbridge.
