Red Hackle De Luxe Scotch Whisky 1960s / Half Bottle

A half bottle of the blend named after the red feather that adorns the hats of the Scottish military unit The Black Watch. 

This blend was produced by Hepburn & Ross of Glasgow.  Established in 1920 by Charles Hepburn (who served with the Black Watch) and Herbert Ross both veterans of the First World War. The company had a policy of hiring ex-military and became popular with military bases during the Second World War.

Although the brand would vanish by the 1980s it occasionaly pops up here and there.

WF Beste Schiedammer Genever 1 Litre

This Jenever (juniper seasoned pot still distilled malt wine) from Holland.

Rebel Yell Small Batch Straight Rye

Bottled by Luxco at the Rebel Yell distillery, this Rye whisky, like so many, was actually produced at the old Seagram's disitllery in Lawrenceburg, Indiana: MGP.

Robbie Dhu 12 Year Old 75cl

William Grants & Sons produce this 12 year old blend styled to represent the lighter flavours from Speyside.

Real Irache 1973 Navarra Gran Reserva

Bodegas Irache was founded in 1891 in the small town of Ayegui, in the region of Navarra (immediately to the east of Rioja).  This award-winning wine (Citadelles D'Or, Paris 1991) is a blend of Tempranillo (60%), Garnacha (20%), Graciano (10%) and Mazuelo (10%) - the grapes being hand-selected from a single vineyard - and spent 2 years maturing in American oak barrels; 1973 vintage.

Rene Barbier 1989 Penedès

A red wine from the DO (Denominación de Origen) of Penedès in Catalunya in northeast Spain.  While the usual Spanish culprits of Tempranillo, Garnacha, Cariñena and Cabernet Sauvignon thrive in Penedès, the red wines of this region may also comprise several other locally indigenous grape varieties.
