Clynelish 1965 Duthie for Corti 21 Year Old

An independently bottled Clynelish imported by R.W. Duthie which has become a very rare Clynelish indeed.

A real gem for any Clynelish enthusiast, produced at the original Clynelish distillery, which has now become recognised as Brora.

Chartreuse Yellow Label 'Une Tarragone' 1936-1941

Originally created in 1605 by monks using a recipe for an elixir of long life. 

Produced between 1904-1989 in Tarragona (Spain) after the Carthusian Monks were exiled from France. In 1989 the distillery in Tarragona closed down and the production of this liquor returned to France. Nowadays the bottles produce in the distillery of Tarragona have become one of the most expensive and sought after liquors in the world. The recipe contains more than 130 different plants and flowers, the Mediterranean character of the Tarragona distillery is bottled in this unique and limited liquor.

This Yellow Label 'Une Tarragone' was produced between 1936 and 1941.

Caol Ila 1967 Duthie for Corti​​

Distilled in 1967. 

Bottled in 1983 by R.W Duthie & Co of Aberdeen, this was for the Corti Brothers of Sacramento. 

Caroni 1988 Blended Trinidad 15 Year Old Rum

Distilled at Caroni in 1988 and matured at their distillery until 2003 when the casks were moved to Guyana for a further four years of maturation.

Bottled in 2008.

Caroni 1982 Full Proof 24 Year Old Trinidad Rum

Distilled in 1982 at the now lost Caroni distillery.

Aged for 24 years and bottled in 2006.

One of 4,600 bottles produced from a stock of 15 drums.

Convalmore 1977 36 Year Old

Diageo released this in 2013, the second bottling of Convalmore within their Special release series.

Distilled in 1977 and bottled at cask strength 36 years later.

Douie, Robert, Chronicles of the Maltmen Craft in Glasgow 1605 - 1879: with appendix containing the constitution of the craft recognised and established by Letter of Guildry, parliament, town councils, and Archbishop's charter, etc. Glasgow: Aird & Coghill, 1879.

A fascinating work charting the history of the Incorporation of Maltmen Glasgow from 1605, when they were granted a Letter of Guildry right up to 1879, when the Chronicles were published.

One of the fourteen incorporated crafts of Glasgow, the establishment of the Maltmen far pre-dates 1605 but it is believed that earlier records were destroyed in a great fire in 1601. Created with the aim of protecting the livelihood of members against unskilled competitors, the Incorporation also focused their efforts on supporting elderly members, widows and children and championing education within Glasgow.

Their work provided the starting point for the production of whisky and as such their history must be viewed as an extension of the Whisky industry's as a whole.

An essential addition to any whisky library!

Originally created in 1605 by monks using a recipe for an elixir of long life. 

The recipe contains more than 130 different plants and flowers, We estimate this bottle to be from the 1950s or 1960s and was produced at the Voiron Distillery in France.

Clynelish 17 Year Old Manager's Dram 1998

The Manager’s Dram series of whiskies were bottled exclusively for employees of what is now known as Diageo.  These whiskies were selected by the respective distillery managers within Diageo malt distilling and bottled at natural cask strength.

This 17 year old Clynelish was matured in sherry casks and selected by the distillery manager.

Bottled 23rd November 1998.

Caroni 1996 Full Proof 20 Year Old

The 35th release, distilled in 1996 at the now lost Caroni distillery.

Aged in Trinidad for 20 years and bottled in 2016.

One of 3038 bottled produced from a stock of 11 casks.

A very rare bottling from this relatively unknown and young Japanese grain distillery owned by Suntory.  This is one of only handful ever to be bottled and has been received with great acclaim.

Distilled on 15th July 2007 and bottled in November 2011 by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society.

Aged in Trinidad for 20 years, this is bottle no. 2875 of 3800 bottled in 2016.

Château Lafite-Rothschild 1980 Pauillac

Ch. Lafite-Rothschild was one of only 4 estates to be granted the elusive 1st Growth status in the original 1855 Classification of the Medoc, thus the wines from there are amongst the very best of the best from Bordeaux.

From the Pauillac appellation, Lafite-Rotheschild is planted with 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot with an average vine age of close to 40 years.  This wine is from the 1980 vintage.

One of Diageo's super premium releases from 2004, this 1973 distilled cask strength Cragganmore is one of only 6000 bottles. A limited gem from an overlooked Speyside classic.

A well aged Caol Ila bottled by Cadenhead's.

Distilled in 1984 and bottled in 2016 from two bourbon hogsheads, only 210 bottles released.
