One of the recent Karuizawa bottlings exclusive to attendees of The Whisky Show, London and carries a stunning depiction of a Geisha, only half though - the other half is found on a sister bottling from a sherry cask #5347.

This single cask was distilled in 1999 and bottled in 2013 from single sherry butt cask #869.

Karuizawa 1990 22 Year Old Single Cask #679

A rare single cask Karuizawa bottled in 2012 bottled at cask strength for The Whisky Exchange, from a single first fill sherry butt #679.

Please note the damage to the front of the box, where a label has been removed, Although these were not the original boxes as the boxes were added for the UK market by the Whisky Exchange. 

Karuizawa Noh 27 Year Old Multi Vintages Batch #1

La Maison Du Whisky released a number of multi-vintage Karuizawa's, bottled under the Noh release brand.

This is the original multi-vintage Karuizawa from 1981, 1983 and 1984 bottled October 2011.

The whisky used was from Sherry Butts and Bourbon casks from 1981, 1981, 1983 and 1984; cask numbers #6405, #4973, #8184 and #6437.

Kawasaki 1981 Ichiro's Choice 

One of the very rare bottlings of Kawasaki by Ichirio Akuto. Only a handful of single casks have ever been bottled from this lost Japanese grain distillery.

This 1981 vintage was released in 2009 from refill sherry butts.

This is bottle number 170 of 710.

Karuizawa 1992 Single Cask #3434 Whisky Magazine

A single cask bottling of Karuizawa selected by the editor of Whisky Magazine.

Distilled in 1992 and matured in an American white oak sherry butt, #3434, bottled in 2007 at 15 years old.

Ichiro's Blend for Isetan (Hanyu and Kawasaki)

An exclusive blend produced by Ichiro Akuto the owner of Chichibu distillery and the man responsible for bringing Hanyu and Karuizawa casks to the market.  

This blend was produced for Isetan, Singapore and is a blend of Hanyu and Kawasaki both closed distilleries.  Aged between 12 and 35 years old, released October 2012.

Karuizawa Cask Strength 3rd Release

This cask strength series of Karuizawa was exclusively released to the Taiwanese market.  

The 3rd release is a blend of vintages from 1999 and 2000, matured in a sherry butt and bottled in 2013.

Karuizawa Cask Strength 4th Release

This cask strength series of Karuizawa was exclusively released to the Taiwanese market, this is the fourth release.

The cask strength series is a combination of sherry casks from 1999 and 2000 all bottled at 61.7%

Karuizawa 2000 SMWS 132.6 12 Year Old

Perhaps slightly more bizarre this whisky is otherwise known as 'Nite Nurse Nipped by Piranhas'.

Distilled on 31st December 2000 and bottled in 2013 this 12 year old Karuizawa was matured in a refill ex-sherry butt yielding 553 bottles.

A single cask Karuizawa distilled in 1997 and bottled in 2010 from sherry butt number 3312. 

Karuizawa 1999 Asama Single Malt Whisky

An exclusive Swedish release of Karuizawa Asama bottled at 46%, rare and rarely seen at auction.

Named after the active volcano located near the now closed distillery, this single malt is comprised of 1999 and 2000 vintages which were some of the last the distillery produced. 

The whisky has been matured in European oak sherry and bottled in 2012.

Distilled in 1990 and matured for 23 years until bottling in 2013, batch 001 with an estimated 7,000 bottles were released in Taiwan.

Ichiro's Malt Mizunara Wood Reserve

A vatting of the closed Japanese distillery of Hanyu with that of the relatively young distillery of Chichibu, where this whisky was matured, married and bottled.

The whiskies were matured in Mizunara Oak casks (Japanese Oak).

80:20 Glenmorangie

Yet another delightful whisky accident happened back in 1999 when mistakenly 80% Glenmorangie 21 Year old casks were mixed with 20% of something else, Leading to the name. What a serendipitous event! 

Inchgower 1980 Dewar Rattray 25 Year Old

Distilled in Decmeber 1980 and bottled in May 2006 from single sherry cask number 14161. 

One of 486 bottles. 

Slight rust on inside of lid and number written on outside of lid. 

Ichiro's Malt Double Distilleries

A vatting of malt produced from Chichibu and Hanyu distilleries, bottled within the legendary Ichiro's Malt range.

Kininvie 1990 23 Year Old Batch #002

This is the first official release under the Kininvie name for the UK market.

This elusive malt from William Grant's Dufftown complex was matured in \"a mix of Hogshead and Sherry butts\" for 23 years.  There are thought to be round 7000 35cl bottles within the batch.

Inchgower 1980 Signatory Vintage 27 Year Old

Distilled November 1980 and bottled February 2008 from cask 13276. 

Bottle number 20 of 200. 

Imperial 1995 Signatory Vintage 19 Year Old

Distilled in 1995 and bottled in 2015, this is from the closed Speyside distillery Imperial. 

Bottle number 280. 

Kilchoman Inaugural 100% Islay

The inaugural bottling of Kilchoman's popular 100% Islay releases.

All parts of the production process for the 100% Islay were taken place at the distillery – from barley to bottle. The barley is grown, malted, distilled, matured and bottled at Kilchoman. Bottled at 50% abv and peated to a lower level to that of other releases.

I.W. Harper Gold Medal - 1980's

The I.W is named after Isaac Wolfe Bernheim, who founded the brand. With his brother he helped establish Louisville, Kentucky as a centre for Bourbon production.  

Ichiro's Malt and Grain

A blend from Ichiro Akuto.

A rather complicated blend at that, the mix could include whisky from his own stocks of Hanyu and Karuizawa as well Chichibu and even more interesting is that  there may be components distilled at other Japanese distilleries and from other countries.

Afterall the label does read 'This is a Worldwide blended whisky'.
