Ardbeg 1974 Provenance 26 Year Old (US Import)  75cl / 55.0%

One of the legendary Ardbeg Provenance bottlings, distilled in 1974 and matured for 26 years until being released in early 2000, imported into the US by Brown-Forman, this is the fourth release.

These whiskies are highly acclaimed and desirable, including certificate and tartan insert.

This bottle carries the bottling date of 21st September 2000 and is bottle number 6127 bottled at 55.0%.

Please note the box lid hinges are loose but can be positioned correctly.

A very rare bottling of Ardbeg bottled to commemorate Lord Robertson of Islay, a former Nato Secretary General.  

This cask was laid down on 27th April 2000 when Lord Robertson visited the distillery, for the charity Erskine.

Filled into bottle on 6th June 2010 from cask number #1217, this is bottle number 53.

The Ardbeg, Lord of the Isles 25 year old is a highly sought after and iconic Ardbeg, released between 2002 and 2007.

Named after the 'Lord of the Isles' who ruled the Western Isles and parts of Argyll between the 12th and 15th Centuries.

The hugely popular Ardbeg Day was a limited run of 12,000 bottles partially married in ex refill sherry casks used to mature whisky the Ardbeg Uigeadail.

Ardbeg Alligator Untamed Release

A fierce charring to the cask, an 'alligator char' provides the name for this whisky, aggressive heat when applied to the inside of the casks causes the cracking of the wood which re-sembles that of an Alligators skin. 

Following the acclaimed committee release, the un-tamed edition was released in 2011 and quickly sold out.

Arran held a master class to select the cask which would become the 2013 Festival Bottling. A 16 year old first fill Sherry Hogshead was selected for its flavour and balance.

A vatting of 10 year old Ardbeg matured in bourbon casks with a ‘heart’ matured in Manzanilla sherry casks.

After the auction closing date, the highest bidder will be notified by email. Payment is required within 72hrs. The buyer can then choose to ship, store, or collect the bottle(s). Buyer fees are applied during the online checkout process.  

The seller will receive payment within 21 working days of the end of the auction, directly to their chosen bank account. Seller fees will be applied to the seller’s invoice after the auction.
