Ardbeg Alligator Untamed Release

A fierce charring to the cask, an 'alligator char' provides the name for this whisky, aggressive heat when applied to the inside of the casks causes the cracking of the wood which resembles that of an Alligators skin. Following the acclaimed committee release, the un-tamed edition was released in 2011 and quickly sold out.

The Ardberg Distillery lies on the most Southernly part of Islay and on the rugged shores of the Atlantic Ocean. Ardberg is revered around the world as the peatiest, smokiest, most complex whisky of them all. Yet it does not flaunt the peat: rather the peat gives way to the malt, the natural sweetness of which subtly intrudes, producing perfect balance.

Ardbeg Supernova SN2015

The forth release of Supernova... SN2015. With Ardbeg having blasted whisky into space and it having returned successfully we are being treated to a new Supernova. We'll need to wait and see as to what Dr Lumsden has to say about zero gravity maturation... probably that it isn't cost efficient. Peated to over 100 PPM this is a big bang of a whisky. Truly out of this world. A star of a dram. Is that enough space puns yet?

Craigduff 1973 Signatory Vintage 38 Year Old

A very rare experimental whisky, produced at Strathisla distillery using heavily peated malt.  Occasionally there has been some controversy over the origin of Craigduff and some people have suggested it was actually produced at Glen Keith distillery, wherever it was produced, it is extremely rare as only a handful of casks have ever been bottled independantly by Signatory Vintage.

Distilled on the 4th April 1973 and bottled on 25th August 2005, this 32 year old Craigduff was matured exclusively in a sherry butt, cask #2513.

Bottle number 207 of 566.

Arran Smugglers' Series Volume 1 / The Illict Stills

A very cool nod to the shady history of Arran's distilling. Back during the 18th and 19th century the island was a producer of illicit whisky. Presented in a book style package to hide the goods.

With the Smugglers series Vol I \"The Illicit Stills\", homage is paid to the forebears with an Arran dram of robust body and a heavier peat influence more reminiscent of the Whisky produced on the island in days gone by. The presence of the heavily peated Arran is perfectly balanced by the sweetness of older Bourbon barrels. In the background the rich fruity influence of Port Pipes has resulted in a fresh, full bodied and complex dram, evocative of independent character.

The whisky itself is a combination of the following:

Arran Single Malt - Un Peated Stock Matured in 600L Port Pipes.

Arran Single Malt - Un Peated Stock Matured in 250L Sherry Hogsheads.

Arran Single Malt - Un Peated Stock Matured in 200L Barrels.

Arran Single Malt - 50ppm Peated Stock Matured in 200L Barrels.

Arran 1996 Single Cask 19 Year Old /Spirits for Small Change

Distilled on the 14th of October 1996 and bottled in April 2016 after maturation in a sherry butt. Bottle number 58 of 175.

Isle of Arran Distillery is one of the few remaining independent distilleries in Scotland. The Distillery is in the village of Lochranza on the Norh-West tip of the Isle of Arran, where it is perfectly situated to capture the character of the beautiful island of pure mountain water and soft sea air washed by the Gulf stream. This hand-crafted malt has no added artificial colouring and is not chill-filtered at the bottling stage, thus ensuring  a completely natural Whisky which retains the full range of aromas and flavours which typify the Arran malt.

Bidding advice

You can place bids either under the lot image on the main auction page or on the right side of the individual lot page.

Placing a Maximum Bid
