Flora and Fauna Complete Collection - 26 Bottles

The Flora and Fauna series of whiskies was originally created in the early 1990s by United Distillers Vintners (what would later become Diageo).  Originally this range had no name and it was not until the famous whisky writer Michael Jackson nicknamed it the 'Flora and Fauna' series due to the labels, did it stick.  The Flora and Fauna series, as offered in this lot, contains a total of 26 distillery expressions. Not all of these were released at the same time and many have now been discontinued, the last of which  was to be the Mortlach 16 year old, perhaps the most loved of all of these whiskies.

A very rare and stunning bottle of Old Parr Elizabethan, presented in a hand blown, each side showing a different historical figure; Thomas Parr, James I, Elizabeth I and Henry VIII.

Bottled to commemorate the Elizabethan era of British history.

Only 252 bottles of this elegant decanter were produced.

Oban 16 Year Old Manager’s Dram 200^th Anniversary 1994

The Manager’s Dram series of whiskies were bottled exclusively for employees of what is now known as Diageo.  These whiskies were selected by the respective distillery managers within Diageo malt distilling and bottled at natural cask strength.

Bottled to celebrate Oban’s 200^th anniversary, 1794 – 1994  this 16 year old was released exclusively from sherry casks by distillery manager John William and his employees listed on the rear of the bottle.

Bottled July 1994.

Oban 21 Year Old

A 21 Year Old limited edition Oban, bottled as part of Diageo's 2013 Special Releases. Matured using rejuvenated American oak and second-fill Bodega casks, only 2,860 bottles were released.

Bottled number 0977 of 2,860.

Oban 19 Year Old Manager’s 1995

The Manager’s Dram series of whiskies were bottled exclusively for employees of what is now known as Diageo.  These whiskies were selected by the respective distillery managers within Diageo malt distilling and bottled at natural cask strength.

Released in 1995 from a refill cask, this Oban was bottled for United Distillers (Diageo) and chosen by John Williams.

A particularly old vintage of Old Pulteney from 1969 bottled by Gordon and Macphail in 2006.

A stunning example of the old Oban 12 year old, presented in the triangular decanter bottle.

Italian tax seal.

Please note the box lid has become loose and the seal has a slight tear in it.

North Port-Brechin 1974 Gordon and Macphail 22 Year Old

Distilled in 1974 and bottled in 1996 by Gordon and Macphail.

North Port is a closed distillery from the small Scottish town of Brechin.

Four Roses Small Batch 2013 125th Anniversary

A very special small batch Four Roses made up of selected casks distilled using three of Four Roses' ten bourbon 'recipes'.

This 2013 release was bottled to mark the distillery's 125th anniversary.

The whiskies used for this limited edition have been aged between 13 and 18 years old and John Hansell from The Whisky Advocate scored it a very impressive 97 Points!

Old Pulteney 1991 Single Cask

An unusual official bottling of Old Pulteney, bottled from single cask #0030, distilled in 1991 and bottled in 2007.

Old Pulteney 21 Year Old

Tis version of Old Pulteney 21 Year Old is from around the same time this whisky was awarded 'Best Whisky in the World' by Jim Murray.  It has since been replaced by the Green tube and packaging and perhaps unsuprisingly become slightly more difficult to get hold of.

North British 1980

There have been very few official bottlings of North British over the years, this 1980 vintage was bottled at a impressive 60.3%.
