Karuizawa 1969 42 Year Od Single Cask #8183

Karuizawa produced outstanding whiskies, many of which have received international acclaim, this one perhaps more than most!

It is amazing that whiskies such as this have been bottled in recent years given how few casks of Karuizawa are remaining. There are now not many as old as this and we doubt there will be many (if any at all) that will match this age in the future.

Distilled in December 1969 and bottled 42 years later in August 2012, this is legendary cask #8183  which oddly is a 400 litre ex-bourbon cask.

Port Ellen 1979 22 Year Old 1st Release

The first of the incredibly popular Port Ellen annual releases.  Distilled in 1979 and bottled 22 years later in 2001, bottled at cask strength and limited to 6,000 bottles, this is bottle 3514.

Port Ellen is the lost jewel in the Islay crown. Closure in 1983 has enabled this distillery to receive a near mythical amount of love and respect. As stocks get thinner on the ground, these bottles become rarer and rarer

Karuizawa 1994 Noh Single Cask 15 Year Old

A single cask Karuizawa bottled within the infamous 'Noh' series, with the usual friendly face on the front!

Distilled in 1994 and bottled in 2010 from a single sherry butt with cask number #270, which yielded 480 bottles.

Port Ellen 1978 24 Year Old 2nd Release

Pappy Van Winkle Family Reserve 20 Year Old

This bourbon has become quite legendary, particularly after the theft of 65 3 bottle cases in 2013.

This particular bottling was bottled in 2009, one of the last releases to have been produced at the infamous Stizel Weller Distillery.

The third release within Diageo's annual Port Ellen releases, distilled in 1979 and bottled 24 years later in 2003, bottled at cask strength and limited to 9,000 bottles, this is bottle 8440.

Karuizawa 1984 SMWS 132.1 28 Year Old

Like all Karuizawa's this has become incredibly sought after, the first bottling of Karuizawa for the Scotch Malt Whisky Society.

Otherwise known as 'Secret Moonlight Garden Dram'.

This Karuizawa was distilled on 30th August 1984 and bottled as a 28 year old, matured exclusively in a single refill ex-sherry butt yielded 229 bottles.

Clynelish 12 Year Old Circa 1980s

Clynelish has grown enormously in popularity in recent years.  This well preserved example from circa 1980 carries a Germany import label by Flaschen Import, Dusseldorf.

Port Ellen 1969 Gordon and Macphail 15 Year Old

A very old bottling of Port Ellen from the mid 1980s.  Distilled in 1969 and bottled by Gordon and Macphail, highly acclaimed by Serge Valentin of WhiskyFun.com.

The condition is excellent with the exception of the slight mark on the box, please also note the cellophane is in excellent condition but is fragile.

Clynelish 1972 Rare Malt 23 Year Old 75cl

The Rare Malt Selection is a historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

A 75cl bottling of Clynelish, released within the Rare Malt Selection.  Distilled in 1972 and bottled as a 23 year old at 57.1%.

Please note there are a few creases on the box, please see the image for reference.

Port Ellen 1978  Rare Malt 22 Year Old

The Rare Malt Selection is an historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that was released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

One of the two Rare Malt releases by Diageo, this particular 22 year old was distilled in 1978 and bottled in October 2000.

Karuizawa 1999 SMWS 132.5 14 Year Old

Otherwise known as 'Sweet and Darkly Beguiling'.

This Karuizawa was distilled on 25th June 1999 and bottled as a 14 year old in 2013.  

A single refill ex-sherry butt yielded 495 bottles.

Karuizawa 1991 SMWS 132.2 22 Year Old

Otherwise known as 'Stunning Panaorama of Exotic Fruits'.

This Karuizawa was distilled on 4th September 1999 and bottled as a 22 year old in 2013.  

A single refill ex-sherry butt yielded 355 bottles.

Karuizawa 1996 SMWS 132.4 17 Year Old

Otherwise known as 'Stunning Panaorama of Exotic Fruits'.

This Karuizawa was distilled on 4th September 1999 and bottled as a 17 year old in 2013.  

A single refill ex-sherry butt yielded 346 bottles.

Convalmore 1977 28 Year Old

An official release from Diageo back in 2005.  There are so few Convlmore's around these days which makes these bottlings quite desirable.

Distilled in 1977 and bottled in 2005, limited to only 3,900 bottles.

Port Ellen 1981 Douglas Laing 23 Year Old

A Douglas Laing Port Ellen distilled in May 1981 and bottled in August 2004.  

This sherry cask Port Ellen was limited to 675 bottles and bottled under the Old Malt Cask banner.

Port Ellen 1978 Douglas Laing 21 Year Old

An independant bottling of Port Ellen distilled in December 1978 and bottled 21 years later in October 2000.

This single cask yielded 342 bottles.

Please note the label is pealing from the box and the minor stains on the bottles front label.

Port Ellen 1983 Douglas Laing 21 Year Old

A Douglas Laing Port Ellen distilled in March 1983 and bottled in October 2004.  

This sherry cask Port Ellen was limited to 525 bottles and bottled under the Old Malt Cask banner.

Karuizawa 2000 SMWS 132.6 12 Year Old

Perhaps slightly more bizarre this whisky is otherwise known as 'Nite Nurse Nipped by Piranhas'.

Distilled on 31st December 2000 and bottled in 2013 this 12 year old Karuizawa was matured in a refill ex-sherry butt yielding 553 bottles.

Port Ellen 1982 Bladnoch Forum 24 Year Old

Simply packaged with all the information anyone needs, this Port Ellen was chosen for the Bladnoch Forum.

Distilled on 13th October 1982 and matured for 24 years in a single Butt #2461 until bottling in November 2006.

644 bottles produced.

Caol Ila 1969 Gordon and Macphail 35 Year Old

Bottled within Gordon and Macphail's Private Collection this 35 year old Caol Ila was distilled on the 17th June 1969 and bottled from two casks #1755 and 1760 in July 2004. 

This is bottle number 177 of 374.

Port Ellen 1977 Hart Brothers 19 Year Old

A 1977 Port Ellen bottled by Hart Brothers at 19 years old. 

Clynelish 17 Year Old Manager's Dram 1998

The Manager’s Dram series of whiskies were bottled exclusively for employees of what is now known as Diageo.  These whiskies were selected by the respective distillery managers within Diageo malt distilling and bottled at natural cask strength.

This 17 year old Clynelish was matured in sherry casks and selected by the distillery manager.

Bottled 23rd November 1998.

Bottle number 0894.

Caol Ila 1979 Cask Strength 25 Year Old (2005 Release)

A stunning official 25 year old Caol Ila created using a mixture of American and European Oak.

Distilled in 1979, this is bottle number 0185.

Caperdonich 1995 Whisky Broker 17 Year Old

A Whisky Broker bottling of this closed Speyside distillery, distilled on 13th May 1995 and bottled 13th February 2013.

Bottle number 16 of 30 from single cask hogshead #95068.

Port Charlotte PC9

Port Charlotte is a heavily peated spirit produced by Bruichladdich in remembrance of a long lost distillery at Port Charlotte on Islay, which closed in 1929. 

Distilled in 2001 and Released in 2010 this 9 year old whisky was limited to 6,000 bottles.

Bottle 5,857 of 6,000.

Port Charlotte PC7

Port Charlotte is a heavily peated spirit produced by Bruichladdich in remembrance of a long lost distillery at Port Charlotte on Islay, which closed in 1929. 

Distilled in 2001 and Released in 2008 this 7 year old whisky was limited to 24,000 bottles.

Port Charlotte PC5 First Cut

The valinch bottlings from Bruichladdich are only available at the distilleries visitor centre, this highly sought after valinch was released at the same time as PC5.  Port Charlotte was produced at Bruichladdich as a recreation of a style of whisky created at an old 'lost' distillery in the nearby town of Port Charlotte.

PC5 First Cut was distilled in 2001 and bottled in 2007 from bourbon casks.
