Glenfarclas 1953 Single Cask 58 Year Old

So few whiskies of this age are available these days, even Glenfarclas has no whisky remaining older than 1953. The whisky was distilled on 20th November 1953 and bottled on 13th February 2012, matured exclusively in a first fill sherry butt #1674.

A panel comprising of Serge Valentin, a whisky connoisseur and a key member of the internationally renowned Malt Maniacs, Ben Ellefsen, Sales Director for Master of Malt, Michał Kowalski of Wealth Solutions and George Grant himself, unanimously made the selection from the remaining 4 casks distilled in 1953 and cask #1674 was selected to be bottled.

This single cask bottling was released at 58 years old and sold exclusively through the Wealth Solutions, Poland.

Glenury Royal 1953 50 Year Old

There are very few official bottling of this rare highland malt, which closed its doors for the last time in 1985.

This spectacular sherried 1953 vintage Glenury was bottled as a 50 Year old.  

Bottle number 59 of only 498.

This 1960 vintage was bottled on the 10th October 2007 from a Sherry hogshead #1773 yielding 157 bottles.

Glenfarclas 1966 Douglas Laing Probably Speyside's Finest

\"Probably Speyside's Finest\" is \"probably\" code for Glenfarclas. 

This was distilled in November 1967 and bottled in 2013 after 46 years in a sherry butt. There is no \"probably\" about this being awesome. 

One of 302 bottles.

Glenfarclas 1963 Family Cask #179

Bottled as part of the Glenfarclas Family Cask range of vintage whiskies.

This 1963 bottled was bottled on the 14th of October 2011 from sherry cask #179 yielding 194 bottles.

Glendronach 33 Year Old

Distilled in 1971, this was released in 2004 to great acclaim. Matured in a legendary batch of Oloroso sherry casks.

Jim Murray gave this 95 out of 100 in his Whisky Bible, then the blind and expert pannel of Judges at the San Francisco Spirits Competition gave it a Gold Medal.

One of the few official bottlings of Glenury Royal released at 29 years old within the famous Rare Malts Selection.  

Distilled in 1970 and bottled in the October 1999 out-turn.

This Glen Grant was distilled on the 16th of November 1964 and bottled in February 1990, matured in Sherry casks.

Glenrothes 1979 Adelphi 20 Year Old

Look at this whisky.  This incredibly rich looking Glenrothes was distilled in 1979 and bottled by Adelphi in 1999 from cask 17035.

Wolfburn Inaugural Release

Located in Thurso, this is the Northern most distillery on the UK manland. Based around a long lost distillery that ended around 1850, this new Wolfburn reopened in 2013. 

This is their first single malt release.

There have been 875 bottles released, 100 of which were for the UK. This is presented in a hand creafted wooden box.

Glenugie 1968 Gordon and Macphail

A near mythical distillery these days as there are so few Glenugie bottlings appearing at auction, amazingly we have some incredible ones this month.  Including this Gordon and Macphail bottling distilled in 1968 and bottled in 2000 within their prestigious Rare Old series.

Glen Grant 1970 Duncan Taylor 33 Year Old

A single cask Glen Grant distilled in Feb 1970 and bottled in July 2003.

Glenfiddich 30 year old presented in a stunning box, this multi award winning whisky was matured in Spanish Oloroso and American Bourbon casks.

Glengoyne 1987 Single Cask 24 Year Old

Distilled on the 14th May 1987 and bottled in September 2011 as a 24 Year Old from Sherry Butt 354. 

Bottle No.25 of a total of 515 produced.

Glengoyne 1972 Spirit Safe

Distilled in 1972 and the bottled in 2007, this highly limited Glengoyne is presented in a spirit safe style locked box. 

During distillation all spirit comes through the spirit safe, ths is padlocked to stop the distiller having access to the spirit. Originall only the Exciseman waould have the key to ensure no one avoided paying tax on spirit.
