Dalmore Astrum 40 Year Old

Coming from the Ancient Greek word for star and the Latin word for constellation, this is another space themed Dalmore. 

Casked on 31st of December 1966 into American white oak from Kentucky, prior to being finished for 18 months in a 30 year old Matusalem cask from Gonzalez Byass. 

The whisky is presented in Dalmore's signature bottle and a well-crafted impressive display case.

Lagavulin 1976 37 Year Old

The oldest release of Lagavulin to date released late 2013 as part of Diageo's annual 'super premium' releases.

Distilled in 1976 and matured in refill American oak and European oak casks, yielding 1,868 bottles.

Lagavulin 1976 30 Year Old

A highly sought after bottle of Lagavulin, the oldest official release until the 37 year old from the same vintage came along.

Distilled in 1976 and released within Diageo's Super Premium selection back in 2006.

Limited to 2,340 bottles this is bottle number 798.

Dalmore Ceti 30 Year Old

This 30 year old Dalmore is named after a star Kappa Ceti within the Cetus constellation, Kappa Ceti is approximately 30 light years from Earth, hence this 30 year old was chosen to be titled Ceti.

This rare Dalmore has spent 23 years maturing in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels prior to a further 7 years within 30 year old Matusalem oloroso sherry butts sourced from Gonzalez Byass. 

Only 1,000 bottles were produced.

Dalmore 1960 25 Year Old

A very very rare bottling of Dalmore, distilled in 1960 and aged for 25 years before bottling in the mid 1980s.

Limited edition bottle number 510, presented in a classic wooden box - what a wonderful contrast to recent well aged Dalmore's.

Dalmore 50 Year Old 10cl Decanter

A very interesting bottle, the liquid has along and complex history. The casks used combine vintages from 1868, 1922, 1926 and 1939. A brief summary of these casks is below:

Cask one: Distilled in June 1868 and transfered into sherry wood in  August 1880 and again in October 1891.

Cask two: Distilled Feburary 1878 then racked to sherry wood April 1890 and again in April 1908.

Cask three : Distilled March 1922.

Then these three casks were “racked” –one in May 1926, one in July 1926  and one in August 1926. Then in Spetember 1977 all 3 were then re-racked to a single, unique butt  then bottled in February 1978.

Two casks filled in 1939 which were bottled to glass as a 52 year old in October 1991.

All the above whiskies have been blended under the master craftmanship of Richard Patterson to create this 50 Year old 

A very rare 10cl hand blown Portuguese crystal decanter, only 191 bottles were created!

Dalmore 1978 Sherry Finesse

Dalmore distilled in 1978 and matured for over 30 years then finished in Gonzalez Byass sherry casks prior to bottling in 2011. Very well presented in a sturdy stylish box. 

One of 477 bottles. 

Lochside 1964 Scott's Selection 42 Year Old / Single Blend

An incredibly interesting and exceptional whisky.

A single blend refers to a blended whisky which contains both malt and grain spirit distilled at one location, in this case Lochside.  

Distilled in 1964, married at birth and bottled in 2006.

Littlemill / Dunglass 1967 Signatory

A two pack of 50cl bottles. 

Littlemill 1967 36 Year old: Distilled February 1967 and bottled June 2003, this is bottle number 27 of 325. 

Dunglass 1967 37 Year Old: Distilled May 1967 and bottled June 2004, this is bottle number 27 of 325. 

Both of these distilleries are closed and completely gone.

Linlithgow (St Magdalene) 1973 30 Year Old

One of the few old official bottlings from this incredible distillery.

Distilled in 1973 and matured for 30 years until Diageo chose to release this as part of their famous annual super premium releases in 2004.

Limited to only 1,500 bottles.

Rosebank 1981 20 Year Old Rare Malt

The Rare Malt Selection is a historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

This Rosebank was distilled in 1981 and bottled in the May 2002 release, at another impressive abv of 62.3%.

Bottle number 5053.

Laphroaig 25 Year Old

Originally released in 2007, there have been numerous Laphroaig 25 year old's released annually. 

This edition was finished in Oloroso sherry. 

Please note tiny tear on front label. 

Longmorn 1967 Hart Brothers 33 Year Old

Distilled in October 1967 and bottled July 2001, this is from Speyside's Longmorn distillery. 

Please note the rust on the lid. 

Dailuaine 1973 Rare Malt 22 Year Old 75cl

The Rare Malt Selection is a historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

Distilled at Dailuaine in 1973 and bottled as a 22 year old, this is bottle number 1345.

Released as a 75cl.

Dalwhinnie 1973 29 Year Old

Following the success of the 1966 Dalwhinnie 36 year old, this official release followed in 2003.

Distilled in 1973 and bottled as a 29 year old, this was also very well received by critics.

Please note rust in lid. 

Linkwood 1974 Rare Malt 30 Year Old

The Rare Malt Selection is a historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

Released at a natural cask strength of 54.9%, distilled in 1974  and bottled as a 30 year old.

Bottle number 4137.

Good neck level.

Littlemill 1988 Exclusive Malts 25 Year Old 75cl

A rare bottling of Littlemill sold exclusively by K&L Wine Merchants, California.

Distilled in November 1988 then matured for 25 years in cask number 8. 

One of 298 bottles. 

Dumbarton 1961 Signatory Vintage 29 Year Old

Distilled in January 1961 and bottled in February 1990.

This particular bottling is a single grain whisky from the now closed Dumbarton distillery.

Bottle number 553 of 1300. 

Duncan Taylor Rarest of the Rare 33 Year Old

A blend containing a large number of closed distilleries... 

Kinclaith, Ladyburn, Glen Mhor, Glen Albyn, Glen Craig, Carsebridge.... and they were all over 33 years old. 

One of 750 bottles.

Dalmore Mackenzie 1992

The Dalmore Mackenzie was released to commemorate the long lasting relationship between Dalmore and Clan Mackenzie.

The whisky was matured in a bourbon hogsheads for 11 years before a finishing period of 6 years in port pipes.

A limited and highly sought after bottling of which only 3,000 were made.

Dalmore Castle Leod 1995

Following the very popular Dalmore Clan Mackenzie release in 2010, similiarly this follow up was released to generate funds for the restoration of the Clan Mackenzie's ancestral home the Castle Leod.

Matured in American white oak and Spanish sherry wood, before being finished in Bordeaux casks. Castle Leod was distilled in 1995 and bottled in 2011.

Littlemill 21 Year Old (2nd Release)

Released in 2014 this official bottling of Littlemill proved to be very popular, perhaps unsuprising as there are so few official releases from this lost distillery.

Limited release of 4,600 bottles at 21 years old.

Lagavulin 16 Year Old White Horse Bottling 1 Litre

A bottling of Ron Swanson and Jonny Depp's favourite, Lagavulin 16 year old, complete with the White Horse on the label making this early 1990's bottle an especially rare version.

A excellent example of the only official single malt bottling from this closed Montrose distillery, released during the 1980s.

A 21 year old Littlemill to celibrate the 2012 win by Europe at the 2012 Ryder Cup in Medinah. 

Dallas Dhu 1981 Duncan Taylor 26 Year Old

Dallas Dhu is a long closed Speyside distillery. 

This bottle was distilled in April 1981 and then bottled in July 2007 as a 26 year old by Duncan Taylor.

Laphroaig 1987 Douglas Laing 17 Year Old

Distilled in November 1987 and bottled in March 2005 after maturation in a refill hogshead.

One of 717 bottles. 

Lagavulin 1990 Distillers Edition

Matured in Pedro Ximanez cask wood, Lagavulin is the most wanted of the Distiller’s Edition range.

A recent addition the Laphroaig range, released by Suntory Beam following the purchase of Beam Global by Suntory.

Matured in ex-Bourbon casks, quarter casks and ex-Oloroso sherry casks.

Dalmore Daniel Boulud

An exclusive release for the US market which had Richard Paterson assisted by Michelin starred chef Daniel Boulud.

A marrage of whisky matured in Muscatel, maderia and port casks.
