Dalmore Astrum 40 Year Old

Coming from the Ancient Greek word for star and the Latin word for constellation, this is another space themed Dalmore. 

Casked on 31st of December 1966 into American white oak from Kentucky, prior to being finished for 18 months in a 30 year old Matusalem cask from Gonzalez Byass. 

The whisky is presented in Dalmore's signature bottle and a well-crafted impressive display case.

Dalmore Ceti 30 Year Old

This 30 year old Dalmore is named after a star Kappa Ceti within the Cetus constellation, Kappa Ceti is approximately 30 light years from Earth, hence this 30 year old was chosen to be titled Ceti.

This rare Dalmore has spent 23 years maturing in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels prior to a further 7 years within 30 year old Matusalem oloroso sherry butts sourced from Gonzalez Byass. 

Only 1,000 bottles were produced.

Dalmore 1960 25 Year Old

A very very rare bottling of Dalmore, distilled in 1960 and aged for 25 years before bottling in the mid 1980s.

Limited edition bottle number 510, presented in a classic wooden box - what a wonderful contrast to recent well aged Dalmore's.

Dalmore 50 Year Old 10cl Decanter

A very interesting bottle, the liquid has along and complex history. The casks used combine vintages from 1868, 1922, 1926 and 1939. A brief summary of these casks is below:

Cask one: Distilled in June 1868 and transfered into sherry wood in  August 1880 and again in October 1891.

Cask two: Distilled Feburary 1878 then racked to sherry wood April 1890 and again in April 1908.

Cask three : Distilled March 1922.

Then these three casks were “racked” –one in May 1926, one in July 1926  and one in August 1926. Then in Spetember 1977 all 3 were then re-racked to a single, unique butt  then bottled in February 1978.

Two casks filled in 1939 which were bottled to glass as a 52 year old in October 1991.

All the above whiskies have been blended under the master craftmanship of Richard Patterson to create this 50 Year old 

A very rare 10cl hand blown Portuguese crystal decanter, only 191 bottles were created!

Ichiro's Blend for Isetan (Hanyu and Kawasaki)

An exclusive blend produced by Ichiro Akuto the owner of Chichibu distillery and the man responsible for bringing Hanyu and Karuizawa casks to the market.  

This blend was produced for Isetan, Singapore and is a blend of Hanyu and Kawasaki both closed distilleries.  Aged between 12 and 35 years old, released October 2012.

Dalmore 1978 Sherry Finesse

Dalmore distilled in 1978 and matured for over 30 years then finished in Gonzalez Byass sherry casks prior to bottling in 2011. Very well presented in a sturdy stylish box.

Convalmore 1978 Rare Malt 24 Year Old

The Rare Malt Selection is a historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

Distilled in 1978 and bottled in April 2003 as a 24 year old.

Clynelish 12 Year Old 1980s Ainslie & Heilbron

A 1980s bottling of Clynelish by Ainslie & Heilbron Distillers but bottled by Gordon and MacPhail, making it a semi-official bottling. 

Craigellachie 14 Year Old Flora and Fauna Centenary

A rare and discontinued entry to this classic series of whiskies produced by Diageo.

This bottle was specially released to celebrate the 100th anniversary of recorded whisky production at this Speyside distillery in 1991.

Caol Ila 15 Year Old Decanter / Bulloch Lade

A 15 year old Decanter that was released for the Italian market.

Dailuaine 1973 Rare Malt 22 Year Old 75cl

The Rare Malt Selection is a historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by Diageo between 1995 and 2005.

Distilled at Dailuaine in 1973 and bottled as a 22 year old, this is bottle number 1345.

Released as a 75cl.

Clynelish 1972 Single Malts of Scotland 38 Year Old

Distilled November 1972 and bottled May 2011. 

One of 439 bottles. 

Caperdonich 1968 Hart Brothers 32 Year Old

Distilled in December 1968 and bottled in July 2001, this is from closed Dufftown distillery Caperdonich. 

Dalwhinnie 1973 29 Year Old

Following the success of the 1966 Dalwhinnie 36 year old, this official release followed in 2003.

Distilled in 1973 and bottled as a 29 year old, this was also very well received by critics.

Please note rust in lid. 

Caperdonich 1972 Duncan Taylor 36 Year Old

Distilled November 1972 and bottled September 2009, this 36 year old whisky was bottled from cask #7446.

Bottle number 162 of 283.

Please note that there are slight scuff marks to the side of the box. 

Craigduff 1973 Signatory Vintage 38 Year Old 

A very rare experimental whisky, produced at Strathisla distillery using heavily peated malt.  Occasionally there has been some controversy over the origin of Craigduff and some people have suggested it was actually produced at Glen Keith distillery, wherever it was produced it is extremely rare as only a handful of casks have ever been bottled independantly by Signatory Vintage.

Distilled on the 4th April 1973 and bottled on 25th August  2005, this 32 year old Craigduff was matured exclusively in a sherry butt, cask #2513.

Craigellachie 1973 Rare Malts 22 Year Old Limited Edition

The Rare Malts are a Limited Edition series of cask-strength single malts, issued, and designed by Diagio to show off some of the lesser known distilleries in their empire, these bottlings are sought after by collectors and drinkers alike.  

This 22 year old Craigellachie was distilled in 1973 and is bottle no. 2406, bottled in 1995.

In original box, level is in the neck, entire package is pristine with the exception to the slight knock against the cap.

1969 Gordon and Macphail bottling of Convalmore, bottled in 1996. 

Chichibu 2008 Ichiro's Malt The First

The first whisky (aged three year old) released from Ichiro Akuto's Chichibu distillery. Showcased at the 2011 Whisky Show then released in UK in early 2012.

Inverleven 1979 Gordon and MacPhail

A 1979 vintage from closed Lowland distillery Inverleven, bottled in 1994 by Elgin's independent bottlers Gordon and Macphail.

Dumbarton 1961 Signatory Vintage 29 Year Old

Distilled in January 1961 and bottled in February 1990.

This particular bottling is a single grain whisky from the now closed Dumbarton distillery.

Bottle number 553 of 1300. 

Coleburn 1981 Gordon and Macphail

Distilled in 1981 and bottled by Gordon and Macphail in 2006.

Coleburn is one of the numerous distilleries that failed to survive the 1980s \"cull\". The distillery equipment is gone so there is no chance of resurrection for this Speyside distillery.

Duncan Taylor Rarest of the Rare 33 Year Old

A blend containing a large number of closed distilleries... 

Kinclaith, Ladyburn, Glen Mhor, Glen Albyn, Glen Craig, Carsebridge.... and they were all over 33 years old. 

One of 750 bottles.

Dalmore Mackenzie 1992

The Dalmore Mackenzie was released to commemorate the long lasting relationship between Dalmore and Clan Mackenzie.

The whisky was matured in a bourbon hogsheads for 11 years before a finishing period of 6 years in port pipes.

A limited and highly sought after bottling of which only 3,000 were made.

Dalmore Castle Leod 1995

Following the very popular Dalmore Clan Mackenzie release in 2010, similiarly this follow up was released to generate funds for the restoration of the Clan Mackenzie's ancestral home the Castle Leod.

Matured in American white oak and Spanish sherry wood, before being finished in Bordeaux casks. Castle Leod was distilled in 1995 and bottled in 2011.

Chieftain's Choice 1967 Lowland 25 Year Old

Mystery Lowland malt from Ian MacLeod from 1967, there were a couple more to choose from back then.

Chichibu 2008 Single Cask / Cask Sample

A very early single malt from Ichiro Akuto's Chichibu distillery. 

Distilled in April 2008 (the year the distillery became operational) and bottled May 2011. 

Matured in cask number 26 which was a first fill American oak barrel.
