Angus MacRaild is one of the world’s leading authorities on old and rare Scotch whisky with an extensive background in whisky auctioneering. He is based in Edinburgh and works widely as a freelance writer, taster, consultant, independent bottler and educator.
He can be seen at a number of whisky festival around the world including the Whisky Show Old & Rare, of which he is a co-organiser, where he regularly hosts specialist tastings of old style whiskies.
In April 2023, it was announced that he has co-founded a new single malt distillery, Kythe, alongside Jonny McMillan and Aaron Chan.
