CHARITY LOT: Exclusive Gordon & MacPhail Tasting Experience and Rare Glen Grant
Glen Grant 1966 Gordon & MacPhail - Queen's Award for Enterprise
A very rare bottle of Glen Grant, distilled in 1966 and bottled in October 2013 to commemorate Gordon and MacPhail's reception of the Queen's award for Enterprise and International Trade. This whisky was matured in three sherry casks (5062, 5063 and 6717) and was only ever gifted to colleagues within the Gordon & MacPhail business, family and long term suppliers and customers who supported Gordon & MacPhail over the decades.
This is an exceptionally rare and unique bottle of whisky, which has also been signed by Stephen Rankin, Director of Prestige and 4th generation of the Urquhart family.
Gordon and MacPhail Tasting Experience
Within this charity lot Gordon and MacPhail have also generously included a very special and exclusive tasting experience. The tasting that accompanies this is a celebration of Gordon & MacPhail’s 125 year history and will showcase the knowledge that is passed down and built upon by each generation, through the sampling of some incredible whiskies from the past 70+ years. The tasting will be conducted by Stephen Rankin, Gordon & MacPhail's Director of Prestige who will guide you through a selection of unique and rare single malt whiskies.
About Highland Hospice
This rare Glen Grant and very special tasting experience is being sold in aid of Highland Hospice, an independent charity based in the Highland region of Scotland. They offer their services free of charge to all those in the Highlands who need them, providing care and support to people facing life shortening illness, death and bereavement. As well as providing services direct to those in need they also work in partnership with local communities and support professional and unpaid carers by sharing resources and offering training and mentoring.
