Milroy's of Soho
Milroy's of Soho is a London-based whisky company and currently a trading name of Cask Industries Ltd. The business was originally established in 1964 as a wine shop on Greek Street in Soho, and it remains at this location today. Its founders were John Milroy along with funding from his brother Wallace who was a goldminer in South Africa. Today the company also owns bars Soho and London's Spitalfields.
An early champion of single malts, Milroy's of Soho has marketed exclusive bottlings from as early as the 1970s, the most famous of which is undoubtedly a 50-year-old Balvenie selected in 1987. It has also produced a number of its own-branded independent bottlings over the years.
