Macleay Duff (Distillers) Ltd was a blending company that traced it roots back to 1863. Having initially resisted the aggressive acquisition policy of the Distillers Company Limited, financial difficulties caused by Prohibition in the US saw it eventually succumb in 1933. Under DCL, the company was made the license holder for its Millburn distillery, which it ran until its closure in 1983.
In its time the company produced a number of blended Scotch brands such as Antique and a vatted malt called The Mill Burn.
