The Highlander Inn
The Highland Inn is a bar and hotel in the town of Craigellachie, Scotland. The building traces its history back to the late 19th century and was converted from a bank into a bar in the 1960s. The inn is owned by Tatsuya Minagawa, its former co-director and whisky manager who had left to work for Suntory in 2011, but returned to acquire it four years later.
Minagawa worked with former owner, Duncan Elphick, to introduce exclusive bottlings to the bar in 2005. These have included single cask selections from a number of distillers, its own branded independent bottlings and the Oishii Wusukii blended malts.
