As its name suggests, C.Gars Ltd is primarily a tobacconist and is one of the leading cigar retailers in the UK. It was founded in 1997 by Mitchell Orchant and as of 2021, it and its subsidiary businesses have formed part of the Dominique London group, created through a merger with the Belgian company, La Casa del Tabaco, founded by Dominique Gyselinck and Frédéric Dechamps.
Within the group are several whisky interests that include The Mash Tun bar in Aberlour, the Whisky Merchant online retail operation and the Stalla Dhu and C.Gars Malt whisky brands.
