Big Market
Big Market (officially stylised as "big market") is a German wine and spirits retailer that was once the largest in the country. It opened in Berlin in 1965 and today is also an occasional independent bottler and houses a whisky museum. The company also deals in cognac and champagne and such is the renown of its selection, it was once the supplier of both to the British royal family.
The shop released its first independent bottling of whisky, a Port Ellen, in 1994 followed by a selection of Speyside single malts for its 30th anniversary the following year, including a Macallan and Glenfarclas. It has continued to offer sporadic releases on a near-annual basis ever since.
