Bar Metrò

Bar Metro was a whisky bar and restaurant in Milan, owned by the legendary Giorgio d'Ambrosio. Established in 1967, it played an integral role in the cultivation of the Italian single malt fascination and was a must-visit for enthusiasts until it closed down in March 2018. Another Bar Metro now exists in the same place, however is unaffiliated to the original.

In addition to on-trade, the bar was also an importer and there are numerous sought-after bottles that were produced specially for it from the likes of R.W. Duthie & Co, Gordon & MacPhail and Silver Seal.
