Austin, Nichols & Co

Austin, Nichol's & Co is a subsidiary of and former US- based spirits division of the French multinational Pernod Ricard. It was replaced in that role by the newly formed Pernod Ricard USA in 2002 and now operates under the DBA (doing business as) name of Pernod Ricard North America, handling the company's strategic spirits investments.

The company has a long history in American whiskey and founded the Wild Turkey brand in 1940. When Pernod Ricard sold the legendary bourbon and its distillery to the Campari Group, the parent company was retained. Instead, the Austin, Nichols Distilling Co was included in the deal, however was de-emphasised on the label a few years later, and now removed completely from its branding.
