Moncreiffe
Moncreiffe was the flagship whisky brand of the Scottish blending company, Moncreiffe & Co. It was introduced in 1986 and was named after the British author, Sir Iain Moncreiffe of that Ilk, who had died the previous year. His son, Peregrine, was one of the company founders.
The blend was originally available in 8- and 15-year-old expressions, however the company often struggled to obtain sufficient stock for the latter. Latterly a non-age statement version was offered but the product has been discontinued since the dissolution of Moncreiffe & Co in 2018.
