Meikle Tòir

Meikle Tòir - meaning "Big Pursuit" in Gaelic - is a brand if peated single malt whiskies from the Glenallachie distillery in Speyside. Not traditionally known for producing spirit in this style, its production was introduced following its acquisition by Billy Walker in 2017.

The distillery released the first of its peated single malts under the Glenallachie brand in 2022, as an expression called The Future within its Billy Walker 50th Anniversary trilogy, before launching the dedicated Meikle Tòir label in 2023. The flagship The Original expression is a 5-year-old whisky, peated to 35ppm. It was accompanied at launch by three other releases of the same age called The Sherry One, The Chinquapin One and The Turbo, with the latter containing spirit peated to 71ppm.
